How are the overall stats progressing.

Has the boxscore been improved to include pitch counts etc?

Has the back of baseball card been expanded to include more stats.

Will the stats carryover from yr to yr in franchise mode.

Did you notice an increase of stat overlays.

    thanks again
There are a lot of stat overlays that pop up during the course of the game. This year they do a very good job of letting you know the number of a particular hit a player got. So lets say Cano hits a double and as he is standing on second an overlay will pop up showing how many doubles he has to date and the commentators will comment on it. There are a lot of these scenarios in the game.

I gave Knight all the box-score info we are looking for and I think we will finally see it in 13!

Is the ball 4 in the dirt/ error on the catcher glitch fixed? I just played a game against the Twins last night and their pitcher walked 3 batters in the first inning, all on ball 4 pitches in the dirt and Joe Mauer was credited with 3 errors. This is not a game breaker for me but it would be nice if it is fixed in '12 the Show.

What about when a batter hits a Home Run?

Is the camera focused on the batter who just hit the Home Run when the overlay pops up and shows the Home Run info? " 2 Run Home Run Ryan Howard 24th this season"

On TV broadcasts this Home Run info overlay usually pops up when the batter is rounding the bases.

In MLB 11 The Show when we got the Home Run info it dropped down from the Scorebar when the next batter was already at home plate batting. And I hope its not like that again.

Sometimes it would drop down after the home run and sometimes there was an overlay. Don't recall the timing though. Something pretty cool is the announcers will report back on how far the home run was. So as the next batter is getting ready, Matt will chime in and say we got the official distance on the home run and it was 418'. Nice touch.

All the infielders recognize where the base is now and will go to step on it in a smooth transition. Also, the transition is beautiful when you go to handle a double play by yourself. They will step on the bag and transition into their throw in an extremely realistic way. Very impressive!

As far as the Home Run overlay thing I guess I will just hope for the best and if its not the way I was hoping for then I will just add my idea again to the wishlist for MLB 13 The Show. Maybe someday Sony will finally use my idea in the game

                Thanks for the info.

Could someone tell us about the trophies? I know the full list would be a pain to post, but could you at please answer these two? First, is there any online trophies, and second, how many trophies are there in total? Thanks so much.

Do you still lose control of your pitch if your opponent correctly guess your pitch? Thanks

                      Pared and Nemesis,

Do either of you intend to answer the questions posted in this thread prior to your time with the game? I noticed Pared smacked out the first few pages of questions, but since, you guys seem to be fielding the new one's as they are posted. Which is understandable. I'm sure you two haven't slept much.

Should I post my questions again (along with a few new ones...about difficulty, etc)?

Take your time guys. I was just wondering, so please don't take offense to me asking. Great work so far!

You can turn off the ball cursor but the pulsating circle will still move around. It only stays stationary in 2 player games so you do not give up your location to your opponent. I have been trying to get them to give us the 2 player option when playing single player games for the added challenge. Its on my list for 13. Overall I liked pulse pitching but I found it very distracting in a 2 player game when up at bat.

                            2) Is it also possible to turn off the reticle when selecting your plate width location using analog pitching (with the ball cursor set to off), as well as the plate width lines themselves when turning off the strike zone?

The analog pitching meter is nearly identical visually and how it functions as to the one in 11. The only new addition is you have colors that flash within the black areas on either side of the shaft that the ball travels down. The colors represent your effort you put on the push up to determine your speed. They range from yellowish green>orange>red. Yellow meaning the least amount of speed and red the most. There was a lot of under the hood work done to the mechanic. When we were there in November we had the difficulties increased. So in 12, all star will have 11's HOF difficulty, HOF will have Legends and Legend will get a new difficulty logic.

We had a lot of discussion on this mechanic and there are a lot of good ideas on how to improve on it. I am hoping for a bigger leap with analog in 13.

They would have to be since the old ones were taken out. They are most likely inflated because it is a home run hitting mode.

They are the new physics is the only code in the game it can't be turned on or off. However the ball is "juiced" in HR derby just like last year to facilitate more HRs.
