Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
Exactly what I was going to say. I mean, it's an option to allow the CPU to control it if somebody doesn't want to go into marketing, advertising, etc. Thats why they have season mode. I absolutely love their franchise.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
I say add to it and make it worth something, like MVP, or take it away forever. It used to be cool on the PS2, but now it does nothing for the game except show you some ridiculous virtual number that you wish you had in real life. I'm about to elapse the $1,000,000,000 mark in 2015. If life were that easy.
I know it isn't easy to code all of that in but I wish they forced us to be a bit more conscious on our spending.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
Refresh my memory. What exactly did MVP have in this department? I set a lot of the dynasty mode options to Auto or Off, because I found the mode overwhelming/annoying and just wanted to play baseball. Then again, I was 17 and did not have a strong understanding of (read: "interest in") baseball logistics.Comment

Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
Not to mention, it was very difficult. The only way I ever made enough money to upgrade my stadium was to release all my real players and to sign generic scrubs. Then I had to edit them to all 99 in order to win, to make more money.
I never completed that mode. It was too difficult and tedious for me.Comment

Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
LOL, I meant that if they used the MVP model, they would have to take out the loan option because it would be worthless. In the show, the loan is never needed (maybe in year 1 if you want to max out everything).Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
This is actual a huge benefit to the series. If we can eliminate all the tedious tasks and calculations then maybe the mode will run a lot smoother. I think they need just a simple budget system and not all the fancy ads, facilities, rehab, etc. All that code just jumbles together and we get issues like billion dollar incomes. Season mode does it right, just implement that into franchise mode to keep it simple and clean.Comment

Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
I always take out 2 loans in the first year and max out everything and then whatever I don't use I pay off very quickly. After the first or 2nd year I've already gotten my loans paid off.Atlanta Braves

Re: Community Day....FRANCHISE and EDITOR
I use the Pirates in my franchise. I finally won the division in 2013, lost in the first round of the playoffs and got a 1% increase to the payroll budget.
I went into the off season $2 million dollars under the salary cap, after arbitration I was $11 million over the cap.
Has the amount of payroll increase been changed in the new show '12 version of the game? I'm making a ton of money for the owner, over $200 million accumulated, but the only way to increase the player payroll even slightly seems to be going deep into the playoffs.
Thanks.≡Comment
