My bad...here r some questiond...how much time is scea putting into the vita...more stats in franchise...did they get rid of the baseball card graphic menu when reading stats...career stars...in game overlays change ....do we have to play 162 games...thanks.

I think this trick stopped working in 11, I only get 1 year deals for any player swapped

Just messed with this now and it still works. Go to Roster Control then Player Movement and swap a player with a FA and then back out. Once this is done press square to correct all rosters. Go back into Player Movement and relegate that same player and do the above steps over. Go back into Manager Roster and see that your youngster has a longer contract!

How about a numbered ratings bar instead of just the bar filled in with red. Its hard to determine who is better than the other. That being said in OSFM it would be easier to determine who the best prospect is at what position with a #rating instead of just the bar.

I'm currently rating the top catchers and I cant tell if Jesus Montero is better than Devin Mesoraco.

I guess I should post this in this thread, because franchise is the only mode that has to do with coaches. Here is the St. Louis Cardinals coaching staff as of 1/6/12, the most recent. I'll include all of the others in case more coaches is one of the surprises. Now I have a reason to want a coach editor.

Couple things I would like to know.

Have they revamped how fatigue works during franchise? I thought players become fatigued to quickly and recovery time was not fast enough.

Have they overhauled how the first year player draft works? Some of the names are very weird and I was wondering whether it was deeper? Don't understand the different regions either. It seems that this hasn't been touched for years.

Has free agency and trade logic changed, for the better, in regards to how the AI works with the system.

Devs have said in past that they will not go with a numbered system. They gave you the ability to see numbers when editing.

I for one, am very happy that they don't have a numbered system. I like the fact that you have to "evaluate" the player and aren't caught up in "trading an 81 ovl shortstop for a 79 and 65 player."

To be honest I want to have the bars/ratings variable depending on the scout. The better your scouts, the more likely you are to get an accurate portrayal of the ratings.

when a player is injured in the playoffs, we should be able to add him to the playoff roster (it says we can but the mechanics aren't apparent)

also, if we make a ton of money, payroll should go up by more than 6%. I made like 110 million last year, it seems to be gone

I'd LOVE a prospect watch screen...so I can figure who to trade for when dumping salary

Have they added any sort of roster minimums to prevent the cpu from carrying too many pitchers and not enough fielders? I am in year 2 of an RTTS with Minnesota and the MLB and AAA teams are both carrying only 10 position players.

I guess you haven't been following the many threads in which we've been discussing that with the Vita development, franchise is getting some work(GM AI(general)...lingering bugs(we know the one!).....lineup work.....trade AI and maybe a few little newbies stuck in there!)....but the bigger change(which Aaron will now be handling with his team...replacing Kolbe) is hoped for in '13.
Unfortunate....but reality.
Franchise mode will definitely have a different feel in terms of the the workings of it....but in speaking with Aaron about the chance he's getting to move franchise in a new direction in a much bigger way....he needed a complete year with his attention set almost entirely on that. He was doing a heavy amount of work for the Vita and it didn't make sense to devote time to changes for '12 that would probably be changed for '13.

Ah understandable I guess...but after learning this, unless commentary really has changed over last year, I might pass this year and wait for '13. Disappointing nonetheless though, but, I get it.

That must be a random occurence. I just check a series I played against the CPU Cards and Holiday was batting 4th in all 3 games.

I've had Holiday listed as batting 2nd too. Also had Allen Craig listed as 3rd baseman

1. Will our saved Rosters and sliders automatically load when we put the disc in our PS3 and load the game up everytime time? Or do we still have to manualy load them?

2. Is there a MLB Today type feature? Where the rosters are updated everyday. And you can play the real games being played that day with all their real stats. And do the announcers talk about things that are happening in the current real season?

MLB Today type feature would be so great to have in MLB The Show

3. Has the end of game Box Score been improved any? Is there more info now?

Knight, please see if players are called up and or sent down not only due to injury but for performance as well.
