Knight... Thank you for ALL you do here!

After playing around with "12" at CD & experiencing what's new, is it hard to now play "11"?

    Does "11" now feel outdated?

    Thanks in advance ;-)

The draft process remains the same. What we were really pushing for was an auto sim option for 30 team users. (Not sure if they will have time to get that in, but they know that we want it)

Not answering for Knight, but I can tell you that after playing 12, I tried to play 11 today and put the controller down.

The ball physics are a thing of beauty and makes playing 11 impossible. I am going to finish my sim only franchise while I wait for 12.

Ok thanks...I just read the whole thread and its really a shame that there is not an easier way for the designers to program an IMPORT FRANCHISE feature. Its just so frustrating having to start everything all over again when Im really immersed in my Franchise's progress from the last game. Each year the new game comes out, I've only made it 1 or 2 seasons into my Franchise

Well how about at least an option to IMPORT CREATED PLAYERS??... I think that would be nice too...and perhaps easier to implement. I would love the possibility (not to mention the time I would save) of being able to bring all 20 or so of my CREATED PLAYERS into the newer game's FREE AGENT POOL and/or ROSTERS for my new Franchise

            Manual injuries and 1-Team control

Knight and tabarnes19, thanks for your time and effort. Question/favor to ask of you...

Messing around with my single-team control Pirates franchise reminded of a small AI roster management issue. It was great that we could manually injure players on every team (not just user teams), as I like to start a franchise with the real-life long-term injuries (eg, Strasburg in 2011). However, I noticed that none of the manually injured players were placed on the disabled list by their AI-controlled team.

I wish I'd thought of this prior to the event, as it's easy enough to test. Determining the cause and fixing it could be difficult, but if there is any way to drop a line to the right person, maybe it could be examined.

Hmmm.....it's because of the single team control. The roster management aspect of the game is set to auto on that. You'd like it so that YOU have to move the players to the DL?, right?
Okay....I could ask about that. I doubt for '12 though as they are pretty close to High Noon with the game!

Yeah.....I started up a game yesterday in my beloved fictional player only franchise......one that I'm so tied to I thought I'd be playing it even when '12 dropped(something about NOT being emotionally tied to or having preconceived notions about players that just brings the franchise to another level), but got about 2 innings and had to shut 'er down.
(yes...this is just another vote for why having a franchise transfer would be an awesome feature!)

It wasn't anything in particular in the game that made me shut it down, it was just knowing what waits around the corner that did it.

In response to the franchise transfer. They haven't tried that yet(it was the players into franchise that was super buggy).....but in speaking with Kolbe about it before he left, it's a pretty big undertaking and they have spoke about it in the past and there are worries about problems with it. He realizes they have to just dive in and do it and deal with the problems as they arise, but they also have to be ready to commit to it fully if they ever do it.
The best we can do is keep it in their ear.

No, ideally I'd like to see the CPU put guys on the DL as needed without my assistance. They seem to handle "naturally occurring" injuries just fine, but they do not seem to react to manual injuries. Thanks for the quick response.

For example, when I start a single-team Buccos franchise with '12, I will manually injure Victor Martinez (sorry Vic, just business). If the issue remains, Martinez will not be placed on the DL by the CPU Tigers. Not the biggest problem, but it does occupy a 40-man roster spot for guys who should be on the 60-day DL and may even eat up a 25-man MLB spot (would need to test this) if done after cut-down day.

                      Oh...they DON'T do it.
                      Sorry, I misread that.
Yes....I do seem to remember going through this in the threads earlier in the year.
Can YOU put them on the DL?....or are they relegated to just being injured and sitting?

                      Thanks.

No, while a single-team user can manually injure a player on any team, DL assignments can only be made for the user team. I added an example to my post above.

                        Thanks, Knight.

Same exact thing happened to me.

The physics are monumental in this series.

Knight, thanks for the feedback on the Franchise Importer...

On a side note, have you or anyone else that has played around with 12 know if there is more HISTORICAL stats saved in the Franchise Mode in this year's game? Things like playoff and World Series stats, boxscores, league leaders, milestones, Standings for each of the seasons. Basically, Data, Stats, and Milestonesm Transactions etc that you can look up by season stored somewhere in your franchise like a HISTORY or ALMANAC section to give the Franchise Mode more meat to it and make it actually feel like a Franchise Mode rather than Mode that just has a bunch of Single Seasons glued together and called Franchise

                                Anything in this regard?
