Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
Are the introduction to the starting lineup longer?
I remember one good thing about the SCEA MLB games in the past was that the commentator would go through each name in the lineup before the team goes to bat and points out little things about each individual player, for example:
"The 2006 Gold Glove award winner at Short, Derek Jeter, is batting 2nd."
In recent games they just mention the starting lineup followed by a 4 second pause which makes it feel awkward and makes it feel like something is missing in-between.
Might not matter to some people, but I wonder why they took it out since MLB 09.Comment

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
Some questions
1. When a player hits a Home Run does a little overlay popup with something like the following " 3 Run Home Run Adrian Gonzalez 10th HR This Season"
2. Does the in between innings Due Up overlay for the 3 batters have the 0 for 1, 1 for 1, 0 for 2 under their name or photos?
3. At the end of the game does the Catcher lift or take his Mask off when he high fives the pitcher and his team mates for the victory?
4. After a home run does the "automatic replay" still have the wrong player on the jumbotron? Does it have the player who just hit the home run or the next batter coming to bat?
5. After the grounds crew comes out does the chalk lines around Home Plate still look like new again?
Thanks
2. They are trying to add it but will definitely be in in 13.
3. Not sure, I will check it out tomorrow if I can play through a whole game.
4. Not sure, I can try and check that out. I think Russell was going to ask.
5. Chalk lines will be fixed.Last edited by FreezeTime; 01-12-2012, 12:43 AM.Comment

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
Will progressive field be updated for MLB 12 The Show and will the park finally have the correct championship banners in the upper deck in right field and not in left field also will the batters eye bar in right center field above the tribe's bullpen be added to the game? Also will the indians have their new 2012 uniforms. And will the braves fans at turner field do the chop and the chant at the park in the game?
Not sure about new uni's and no to Braves chat and chop.Comment

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
Hello a big gripe for blue jays fans for the last couple of years is the color of the artificial grass at the Rogers Center. In the game it is dull and dark but in real life the light reflects off of it and it is actually quite bright. Please ask someone about this your doing a great job.

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
1) Will players' home run and stolen base totals be reflected after those events? That seemed to disappear in '11.
2) Will the NL standings be reflected by flags above the Wrigley Field scoreboard? Small thing, but would be cool. At least team flags being present, not necessarily live standings would be a nice addition.
Thanks Freezetime!
2. Probably not but Russell will mention it.Comment

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
See if there are any changes to the bunting interface? More specifically, to the sacrifice bunt. I found it too hard to judge pitches when sac bunting because the bat blinded your view of the pitch.
Also, have any of the pitch types been tweaked as far as trajectory or velocity ranges. For example, the Knuckleball speed range is too small to adequately replicate R.A. Dickey. Has the breaking direction been changed for the forkball? They've had it wrong the last couple seasons.
Any word on separate deliveries for the windup and stretch so our Roster Makers can do their mastery?
Is the baseball still all-white when it is delivered to the plate or can you see red streaks?
Thanks!
2. Russell had no idea. Maybe this can be answered at community day.
3. Russell was not sure. Doesn't think so. Both he and I didn't really understand the question.
4. Russell says it's been like that for years. I can see the red stitch if that's what you are asking about. Not sure if I really understand the question but yes, you can see the seams like it's been.Comment

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
Freezetime, if you get a chance to ask, my question is:
When saving a customized replay, can we view it from within the game instead of having to exit out of the game and view it from the XMB?
I have recently started taking one or two plays from each game and recorded the replay from different viewpoints within the play to make it seem like a highlight you might see on tv. I just think it would be cool to be able to view it in the game to see how it turned out or if I need to make another replay of the play. Not expecting a change with this, but it would be nice if they could look into it for future versions.
Thanks for the time and enjoy your visit to the show.Comment

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
These may have been asked/answered in other threads so my apologies in advance. My questions are in regards to pickoffs:
1) Is there still an abnormally high success rate for the CPU picking guys off or has this logic/can this logic be changed?
2) Is there an option to turn pickoffs off, or can it be added at this late date if not?
Thanks!
2. No. That will never be an option.Comment
