Like it's been stated stated already by another user, the Vita version is almost exactly the same as the PS3 version except Vita has an advanced version of fast play that is the only way you can play. It will be 30 FPS, not 60 FPS like the console version. Also, there will be no challenge mode and no new broadcast views. RTTS and Franchise will be transferable as long as you have cloud saves meaning you must have playstation plus. I assume season is the same. Everything else will be the same to my understanding even the new dual analog zone batting.

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
1) Will players' home run and stolen base totals be reflected after those events? That seemed to disappear in '11.
2) Will the NL standings be reflected by flags above the Wrigley Field scoreboard? Small thing, but would be cool. At least team flags being present, not necessarily live standings would be a nice addition.
Thanks Freezetime!
Russell told me he will let the guy know that and he thinks it's something that will be new information to him so look for it in 13.Comment

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
I am interested to hear if there has been anything new done with Franchise mode in reference to the immersion factor outside of the actual games in franchise if that makes sense. To me the presentation in game is good with reference to your current season in games but outside of the games it feels so stale. The last time I played the game a few years ago you'd get those little articles here and there but I am hoping for something similar to NBA 2K with all the headlines that reference games and more or NCAA Football that had the Sports Illustrated issues. Just something that give more insight on what is going on around the league duiring your season.
Thanks.Comment

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
Here are some things I asked about and some new info so far:
Load times will be improved for auto save and game play.
PCI sweet spot will be bigger than the other points on the bat. Best way I can describe how it looks is like water dots or spots.
I asked if our personal sliders can be added to our profile and automatically loaded upon start up of the game and he said they might be able to add it.
I asked why user stats were gone in 11 and he wasn't sure but he told me user settings will be replaced with a new profile but couldn't tell me more.
Home run cutscenes are back with 30 player signature trots like Puljols, Carlos Santana etc
Fans catching balls will be in 13.
Players throwing balls into stands after the 3rd out will be in 13.
Hopefully, playoff mode will be added for 13.
Situational collision awareness is the official name so I will see it in action tomorrow. This means players won't be running and clipping through each other.
Trading block within Franchise allows you to now switch within the same screen and team wants will be shown on the same screen too so no more having to go back and check what they are asking for.
The load up screen will have a lot(over 100) of did you know facts from baseball history and facts about the Show 12.Comment

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
Freezetime, if you get a chance to ask, my question is:
When saving a customized replay, can we view it from within the game instead of having to exit out of the game and view it from the XMB?
I have recently started taking one or two plays from each game and recorded the replay from different viewpoints within the play to make it seem like a highlight you might see on tv. I just think it would be cool to be able to view it in the game to see how it turned out or if I need to make another replay of the play. Not expecting a change with this, but it would be nice if they could look into it for future versions.
Thanks for the time and enjoy your visit to the show.Last edited by agentlaw13; 01-11-2012, 02:51 AM.Comment

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
Also I believe I posted it at the begging of the thread but you guys shouldn't be using this a wishlist idea dump. Or as an opportunity to see if something can be changed or added. The game is done feature wise we are in bug fixing and polish mode. The time to ask for new features or changes to existing ones is in April when the feedback threads open.
What you will get the most mileage out of is asking questions about the current feature set and what's been put into the game. Not the 1 million things that didn't go into this years title.Comment

Re: CES Show questions and or suggestions for me to ask
Are the introduction to the starting lineup longer?
I remember one good thing about the SCEA MLB games in the past was that the commentator would go through each name in the lineup before the team goes to bat and points out little things about each individual player, for example:
"The 2006 Gold Glove award winner at Short, Derek Jeter, is batting 2nd."
In recent games they just mention the starting lineup followed by a 4 second pause which makes it feel awkward and makes it feel like something is missing in-between.
Might not matter to some people, but I wonder why they took it out since MLB 09.Comment
