I might add, just so that people wouldn't inflate their expectations too much, feel betrayed, and then become suicidal... Russell@SCEA at one point also "liked" a post by Blzer which basically says that DD may have some element that's never been done before, but doesn't mean it's the ENTIRE THING that's never done.

Just adding info in case people wish to continue on speculating... it's only a few days before February though...

In all honesty I support whatever SCEA decides to do. They do a great job of listening to the community and when they continually release games that capture my attention for a calendar year, I can't help but think its the cheapest form of entertainment. Whatever DD is I will give it a shot, but I am more excited about the other features MLB12 will have to offer.

Don't worry, I got your back, Knight:

This is an outrage!! Instead of working on this mode they could have been fixing the color of the hot dogs that some fans are holding at the ballparks! Those hot dogs have been atrociously unrealistic for several years!!!!!!! I am NOT giving Sony my 60 dollars unless these hot dogs are drastically improved.

Correct me if im wrong but in Community day video he asked if there was anything new in MULTIPLAYER then the guy said not necessarily multiplayer well a new mode .... or did i miss judge that he was trying to indicate a single player mode

There are bits and pieces that have been released on this mode(some correct and some not correct) but the whole picture is not complete. I am sure info will be released soon ending all the speculation.

But the beauty of life is that there are different interpretations for what appears to be the same thing on surface... Like how artsy/literally people never cease to analyze and interpret arts and literature from the past...

I wouldn't be surprised some people continue on with this speculation/interpretation after Ramone fully reveals the mode in his blog, and even after 12 gets released and people playing the mode for a couple months.

You are all missing the boat here, Russell has said that it is a feature that has NEVER been done before in a sports game EVER!!!! So forget any mode of any game you have ever seen in any sports game ever in your life.

If Russell says Amazon is wrong it is wrong. This is something they have been working on for FOUR LONG YEARS. So what since... they were putting together 08? maybe someone should dig through the threads here to back then and see if there was anything that someone suggested in a thread that sounds like what this is... of course you would have to go back to the year 07 for that due to that is when they were taking suggestions for the next year.

just a thought... but again... makes perfect sense that this would be where to find it.

I've heard that same song and dance from several other companies in the past.
I've used this example before but the EA NHL team touted goalies fights as something new in NHL12 despite the fact that it was seen in NHL2004.

I'm over getting hyped up for things that 'have never been seen before!!!'.
I'll keep an open mind, but I wouldn't be shocked if it's simply a mode similar to MUT - which I have zero interest in.

I'm still waiting on more online Dynasty news.

Okay, so the way that I see it is still similar to how I saw it in the past, but with a couple of tweaks:

So you begin by building up a scrappy team of no-namers. Winning can get you to take an opposing team's player at the cost of giving up one of your own, but you can only take and give within the same tier (bronze, silver, gold, or platinum?). Maybe this is done by winning offline, I don't yet know how I want to set up the league/ramifications of that ordeal, but the point is that you steal players when you win.

Also, when you win (or just perform well/dominate in certain statistical categories), you also earn "development points." These can be used to purchase players of a higher tier, or you can use them to literally help develop one of your players. As you see on the cards page, players have certain "tools." On offense, there are the five tools that we know of well: hit for contact, hit for power, speed, fielding, and throwing ability. Pitching has three tools: velocity, control, and movement. If you develop these players to obtain these weapons, they will become stronger.

I'm still trying to figure out what the "recycler" is. Maybe it's somebody you can fluctuate in and out of your depth chart with no penalty of losing him/having to re-acquire him for cash, or maybe it's just the person who you are allowed to trade out. Last but not least, maybe it's somebody who you're allowed to just pick up simply because. I do not know, and the graphics on the trailer video are covering up that information too much for me to take a guess on it. But as you can see, you can sort/filter by position, tier, etc. to figure out which players you want to acquire for your team.

Whether this is a card game or actual on-field action is beyond me, but it still seems like there is some good competition to be had in this mode. Building up the best team certainly won't be easy, that's as far as I can tell.

If it's a card game in any facet, I won't play it. From that one screen in the Reveal Trailer(if that is indeed DD), it looks like it's just that. Oh well, that just gives me more time in RTTS and Franchise where all my time is spent anyway. Doesn't bother me one bit
