After being a "play every game" guy for years and failing...this year I'm going to play every third game, bat only in the 2nd (sim the half inning i pitch) and sim the 3rd game.

Great thread, the bets I ever done is about 100 games in The Show 09 was burnt out by that time. Have to say I like the 1 game a series along with choosing 1 starting pitcher and playing all his starts. But I also like the pitching with the lead and batting while trailing idea. Good thing is theres still time to decide.

Another thing i do, to play all 162, is for some reason, i get in a video game slump around Febuary, and don't play much, if any, so when i get the show, i go hard, works though.

I don't play franchise so I'm not sure if this is possible but one idea is to cut the seasons to 30 games.

30 games would typically give a starting hitter about 100-120 at bats. The league leader in home runs might have about 8-12 home runs.

If there's a way to have 3 man rotations you can have each pitcher start 10 games each.

What a great thread...I've gotten some really good ideas as to how to attack Franchise this year as in the past, I've been a "play every at-bat" type that never makes it through a full season, also juggling a pitcher and position player in RTTS. RTTS typically ends up getting most of my attention, but this year, I think I'm going to focus more of my time getting deep into a franchise...unless Diamond Dynasty mode gets me side-tracked for 6 months....decisions, decisions....what a great problem to have!!! Thanks all!!
