Because he's playing with the pitch callout and strike zone off. Like a boss.

I don't think that's the reason because MPH of the pitch should show up where the score of the game and number of outs is located.

It is, and it's the same way as last year (and probably years before). Turning off the callout turns off the radar gun in the overlay. Something in the way it's coded.

Really? That's unfortunate and weird. For Jackie Robinson day, everyone has the number 42 jersey...for Mother's day, everyone is rocking the pink bats...Father's day, players are wearing blue...for Sept 11, everyone has the flags on their hats....for the 4th of July, they all wear the striped hats with their team logo. Wonder why they won't let it in the game....strange.

If Russell feels like answering, were there any changes to slider function? or to what degree the effects of the slider are this year?

I ask because I can't get a copy till Tuesday, and my mind is wandering, and thinking about Tuesday...

How is the crowd reaction/situation logic this year? It was ok last year, but still felt off, it seemed rowdy when it shouldnt have been and not rowdy when it should have been. Even when the crowd was fired up it still seemed quite dull even during the final clutch moments of a game.

It's pointless because you will never experience any of the issues or bugs the update fixed.

Offline gamers will still experience them. Not a problem for me personally, but there are users out there that are not connected to PSN. Just because the day 0 update fixed the shipped issues, they are still present on the disc version. I'd be curious as to what it did "fix".

I've only read up to page 18 so far so forgive me if these questions have been answered already:

Are the load times around 20 seconds to boot up a game with the 5GB or 10GB install? At CES, the load times were super quick but I had no idea if that was a 5 or 10 install.

After winning the World Series in franchise, does the newspaper have an article about your team winning the World Series? I have won 2 WS in a row with my Angels and both times the newpaper only has the prior game results and doesn't acknowledge I won the WS. I am currently 5 days into the off-season and it still has the game 5 results showing on the newspaper.

How are you liking the did you knows during the loading screens? Learning new info?

Yeah, we were kind of cluttering Pic & Vid thread with banter.

To answer your question, YES it came from the idle cutscenes. I also mentioned that I have an suggestion on my list for futures versions to have these type of things show up in real-time, when coming back from "commercial breaks" in-game.
