A little tidbit of trade ridiculousness from my Yankees Franchise:

The Red Sox have traded 1B Lars Anderson for Torii Hunter... yeah right...

You need to do better research, because they are all injured/suspended to start out the year, besides Gavlis/Moyer.

They aren't injured in the franchise. Idk about suspensions though.

            Seattle Continues Hot Streak:

The Mariners are heading cross country after sweeping the Tampa Rays at Tropicana Field. Two games were played, two more were simmed, but no matter how the result came to be, it was a Mariners win. Adam Lind continues to hit the ball well, leading the AL in batting with a .367 AVG. Justin Smoak, Jesus Montero and Corey Hart all feature above .290 averages as well, as Seattle has found the fountain of offense early on.

Felix Hernandez recorded a complete game shutout in game four's 1-0 win, but his arm has not been the only bright spot for Seattle's rotation. Hisashi Iwakuma is 4-0 with a sub 3.00 ERA, while Matt Garza and Jason Vargas continue to rack up quality starts. Down in AAA, Henderson Alvarez, who came over to the Mariners with Adam Lind, is 3-0 with a sub 3.00 ERA.

Not everybody has been rolling along, however. Chone Figgins, despite leading the team in steals, has a sub .220 AVG, while youngster Dustin Ackley is struggling to put bat to ball, and is leading the team in strikeouts. Seattle's bullpen is also struggling, with the lone bright spot coming from closer Brandon League.
            EPL - Arsenal
            MLB - Seattle Mariners
            NBA - Cleveland Cavaliers
            NFL - Philadelphia Eagles
            MLS - Seattle Sounders

Thats because you need to manually injure them. Knight and co put injured/suspended players into class A to reflect this.

Its then up to you if you want to use them/injure them as in real life

                  Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Just started a Franchise with who else but the Yankees. I'm starting on veteran with default sliders for the first few games just to get a feel of this year's game.

                  First Game: Yanks vs. Rays
Just like the start to the real life season of the Yankees, I take an opening day loss after CC gave up 3 runs in 6 solid innings. The issue for me in this game was pulse pitching and trying to see the ball with the PCI in the batter's strike zone. I had 70 pitches after three innings and struggled with command giving up 5 walks in those frames. The Player of the Game was definitely Sean Rodriguez who came through in two separate two-out RBI situations which were back breaking because I couldn't get anything going. Offensively, I had one lucky home run with Nick Swisher, even though it was a no doubter, i'm sure it was hit with the eyes closed haha. My only other run came via manufacturing when I had derek jeter steal second after a single, granderson bunts him over to third, and cano knocks him in with a sac fly.

                  Final Score 4-2

                  Game 2: Kuroda vs. Price
Right off the bat I get to price with a 2-Run HR from A-Rod. Although i've never seen him hit a home run the way he did(2 handed follow through), I wasn't complaining. I scored a couple more runs in the 2nd with some small ball. After another HR from A-Rod in the third and a 2-run HR from Martin in the fourth, I was quickly up 6-1. But then in the bottom of the 4th the wheels started to come off for Kuroda. I gave up back-to-back HR's to Luke Scott and Matt "Yankee Killer" Joyce. At the end of 4 it was 6-3. In the bottom of the fifth, I lost all control of the plate by walking the bases loaded on 12 straight pitches. I had to get somebody warming up and quickly! Luckily the next batter up was BJ Upton who was 0-2 on the day with two strikeouts. I strike him out on three pitches and send him back to the dugout for the hat trick. The next batter gets home a run on a sac fly. And I managed to get out of it with just one run scored.

At the end of 5: 6-4 Yankees

Fast forward to the bottom of the 8th. Carlos Pena was on first with the newly acquired Joel Pineiro on the mound in relief. It was a 3-2 on Luke Scott when I tried to pick off Pena for the glitchy out. I had him beat but Pineiro's pick off throw sails over my 1B's head and Pena gets a free pass to third with no outs. He scored promptly on a single up the box from Luke.

At the end of 8: 6-5 Yankees

Fast forward to the bottom of the 9th, and I go with a change of pace and let D-Rob get the save.

                  Final: 6-5 Yankees

Doing a franchise as the Yankees again. Started 10-1, but have since come back to earth to amass a 14-5 record overall. Grandy leads the team with 7 HRs, including 3 in my last series with Texas. CC leads the pitching with 4 wins and a 0.90 ERA.

Injuries: Jeter - broken wrist (6-8 weeks)

I am playing All-Star level with sliders.

Will post with more frequent updates as the season progresses.

Currently at the end of April in my Braves franchise:

Few games over .500 with a half game lead over the Phillies in the NL East.

Still trying to figure out what to do with SS since Pastronicky is batting a measly .132.

Who is playing right field for the Red Sox? I think the CPU recoginzes Torii as an upgrade over Ross or Sweeney. May Anderson is in the last year of his contract. Did you check if Anderson is on the Angels MLB roster?

Well guys. I got my first win of the season against the Mets. I also threw my first no hitter EVER!

It was JJ on the hill for my Braves. He threw a total of 122 pitches, 9ks 1BB. The one BB was to Wright in the Btm 2nd, he stole 2nd and got stranded at 3B.

JJ also accounted for the team's only RBI. Which was a sac fly that scored Heyward from 3B. I ending the game by striking out Torres, chasing a 2SB away. I am a very proud man at this moment.

I saved the highlight. So I would greatly appreciated if someone can PM me on how to download the highlights for posting. I am on the way to Houston on a high note...

Another sweep for the Mariners. This is simply incredible. I even decreased some of the sliders to make it more challenging. The Twins came to town to face Matt Garza, Jason Vargas and Kevin Millwood.

Game one saw the Mariners battle Carl Pavano, and it was close till the seventh, when Seattle opened it up and won 4-1. Those four runs game on two two-run homeruns from Franklin and Casper Wells.

Game two was a blowout of the first degree. Seattle won 14-4, as the offense unloaded. Ichiro tripled, doubled and singled, Adam Lind doubled and hit a homerun, and the list keeps going. We had 22 hits by the end of the game.

Game three was a simmed 3-0 win.

Detroit comes to town next, and is the only team that I lost a series too back in April.

My last game was craziest game I've ever played. Through eight innings, I had two hits - solo homers from Uggla and McCann. I had a 2-1 lead after six, but the Mets got three in the 7th. Then the bullpen imploded and the Mets scored 7 in the 8th. So I'm down 11-2 in the 9th. Heyward doubles in a run. Bourn singles in one. Prado has a two-run single and then Chipper hits a three-run homer to make it 11-9. Unfortunately, the rally ended there.
