6-2 since the All-Star Break. Last game vs. the Dodgers at Citi. Great pitchers' duel between LAD's Chris Capuano & Mets' Chris Young. I thought hope was lost after Dee Gordon hit a go-ahead HR in the 8th against Byrdak. Then my set-up man, Ramón Ramírez, gave up another run, making it 3-1 LAD. But I put up a rally in the 9th against their closer, Javy Guerra. Pinch-hit single by Nieuwenhuis, walk by Torres, RBI double by Turner, then a 2-run walf-off single by Wright. I was going crazy, pumping my fist while they were celebrating on my screen! I'm going for the sweep, but going against Clayton Kershaw; while Dillon Gee takes the mound for my team. Btw, I'm 44-50, 4th place in the NL East, like abot 12 games back.

Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread
Oh hey thanks for the reply, Im planning to take a team that has a decent sized budget to the World Series after a period of rebuilding.first off, i would choose someone other than your favorite team. i love the rays, but when i play with them, i get frustrated more easy than anyone else if i lose a game, especially to a division rival. plus, i get frustrated when a player sucks in the game when he is tearing it up in real life.
i chose the rockies who are a good team to start with. i recommend them, the padres, reds, brewers, A's, nationals or white sox. the giants are fun because their pitching is off the charts, but scoring runs is tough.
as for rebuilding, not picking the O's will help. you wont be attached to anyone. build slowly. you have to ask how many seasons you will want to run through? some people play one game per series and sim the rest. this helps them go through several seasons. if you play every game, then you will have to trade like crazy to have success soon.
so before i go on, what are you planning?
I want a team with a good budget though.
and yes I do have the show 13Comment

Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread
Swept the Dodgers at Citi! Tied 1-1 & Ike Davis belts a HR to left-center field. Revenge feels good! Next game vs. the Nationals, after being dominated by Strasburg, I score 3 runs against their closer, Drew Storen. This was caused by a fielding error by Bryce Harper, as he dropped the ball. A pinch-hit, 2-run double by Hairston secured my 3rd consecutive walk-off win. Facing Gío González next while I use Dickey. 46-50, 10 games back of the Nationals in the NL East.Originally posted by Barney StinsonNever in the history of New York City nightclubs has there been a shortage of dudes. Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread
I'm 52-56 in my season. Lost a tough 3 outta 4 from the D-backs, then proceeded to win 3 outta 4 from the Giants (which included a long, 18-inning game which I won). Played the first 2 games @ SD. First game, won 4-3 on Throwback Friday. Second game, lost 1-0 after a walf-off single by Quentin. Next game, Chris Young vs. Clayton Richard in the rubber match!Originally posted by Barney StinsonNever in the history of New York City nightclubs has there been a shortage of dudes. Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread
15 games out of the NL East lead and 13 out of the Wildcard. No playoffs for my Mets but at 67-69 (just snapped a 5-game losing streak) we can still finish over .500. David Wright leads the NL in batting average and Mike Pelfrey is 16-8, with an outside shot at winning the Cy Young.Currently Playing:

Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread
Last night my franchise of MLB 10 came to a heart breaking end in the International League Championship division series (AAA). You can read the full report over in the dynasty HQ.
Now I'm trying to decide whether I should start up a franchise on 12' or do a RRTS on 12' (which Ive never done) and wait to start up a franchise on a newer game.Last edited by redsrulenc; 05-07-2013, 12:44 AM.Check out my three critically acclaimed dynasties in the Dynasty HQ section:

Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread
My franchise is going well, but I was wondering if anyone here is good at making banners. I am not that good with computer programs like Photoshop, etc. and I would like a banner with the Jays logo with a Canadian theme/background. If anyone is creative and has the skills/time to make one for me it would be greatly appreciated. You can message here, or on my dynasty thread (link in sig below), or PM me.
Thanks guys!Comment
