If you bought the PS3 and Vita versions together, they would've totaled out to $80. That's the bundle deal that's going on till the 11th.

Yep. My 17 minute video happens to go over this.

The problem is, if you're analog pitching, it won't help much anyway because your right stick maneuver is what will ultimately matter the most. I assume you're not using that...

Nope, I'm using meter. I expect eventually I'll be down classic pitching.

Anyone else have issue hitting and picking up the ball on the smaller screen? I am good at the ps3 version on all-star, but vita I find it hard to pick up the ball.

I also cannot aim pitches using analog with my left thumb to save the world lol.

Still love the vita just take more practice.

Someone just reminded me last night that on the Vita you can use the touch screen to pick pitch location. Try that.

Oh sweet, that would make a huge diff. Now I just got to get a hang of picking up the ball on the smaller screen.

The only tip I have in the hitting department is to guess the pitch location. If your right then hit with normal or power swing. If your wrong then hit with contact and obvisouly you don't have to worry about 1/4 of the screen.

I use catcher classic and it helps me pick the ball up better.

Is anyone else royally dumbing down the controls on the Vita?

This leads me to another question, if you do cross platform saves can you have different settings for both syytems? I'd hate to have to change hitting/pitching schemes everytime I upload a save.
I'd like to do analog pitching on the PS3 and Meter on the Vita, and use guess pitch for hitting on the Vita but off for the PS3.

YES!!!! At first this really annoyed me, but it's AWESOME. On the Vita I have classic pitching, and auto fielding which I am not using on the PS3.

How do you get your baserunner to take a lead? I read the controls but even if I just tapped the L button, my guy started to steal.

I think Classic (which is what I use) and Meter are the way to go for pitching on Vita. Blazer, good suggestion on the Pitcher Full camera; looks a lot better than Broadcast.

For hitting, I'm using Timing (All-Star difficulty across the board, btw) with Pitch Speed -2 clicks from default.

I like the fast play, but would like to see replays/presentation for home runs.

Overall, I'm enjoying the Vita version quite a bit. Hopefully I get a new Online Pass code soon so I can get the roster update.

I believe it's right analog toward the base for the lead, shoulder button for the steal.

I'm glad they came out with the "bundle deal" but had they not I was originally slated to just buy the vita version. Had that been the case I would have been very happy with just this one. I'm loving this game.

Same here. Tapping L to leadoff as it states just gives my runner the steal sign. Cant figure out how to leadoff

Thanks, I will try that out.

For a first year effort, I think SCEA did a great job. Usually I'd play my PS3 for a bit before bed; now I play the Vita and it's great as I can actually finish a game or two.

yeah it is the right analog to lead off. The L got me at first too until someone here told me about the R stick to lead off.

I picked this up along with the ps3 version last night. Unfortunately my Vita has still not arrived from QVC. Can't wait to be able to play this on my commute to the city.
