Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
Just another tip for the PP crew who are starting to enjoy it...
When throwing the 8 warm up pitches to start the game, do your best to throw the pitches for strikes. I am playing with Legend Pitching, Accuracy and and Consistency on 1, and for whoever said the pitches never are out of the circle you end up with on the PP, that is totally untrue.
I have thrown 8 warm up pitches with the small circle dead in the middle of the zone, and even with 4 seamers, missed the strike zone.
Warm ups are also a great time to figure out where that 12-6 breaking ball needs to be started to get the ball near the bottom of the strike zone.
You will see that as each pitch finds the strike zone in warm ups, your confidence meter will rise accordingly. It is a lot nicer to have an alomost-full bar of confidence when you face that first hitter, than already scuffling to find the strike zone before the first at bat.
(TLDR: Try to throw strikes with all eight warm ups pitches to start the game)

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I still prefer meter for one big reason: it happens during the windup, which keeps the pace of the game moving along. As some have pointed out, trying to time the pulse can lead to you taking 5 or 10 extra seconds per batter. Meter creates a much better flow, and I've never been good enough with it that I paint the corners all game like some other guys. I walk plenty of batters on meter.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I actually prefer the Analog Pitching so I feel like I have more input control versus ratings, but what I LOVE is the choice to mix it up, and have two pitching mechanisms that I enjoy.
I mentioned to Nem that I might institute a mix and match when I start the season. The choice to keep it interesting makes cool. Plus the pitching animations are so good this year, having a game or two to see them is a nice mix.

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I guess I always fall back to the meter as I feel like it allows me the most input as to how successful the pitch is going to be.
When I tried using PP for 3+ innings I still couldn't get the hang of it, and worse yet, really didn't enjoy using it. But from the feedback I am reading, lots of ppl seem to really be enjoying it.
I may have to give it another shot.Comment

To those that feel pretty comfortable timing the Pulse now, how are your CPU run totals?Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I'm on AS too and still haven't been really beat up yet. I'm giving up 5 runs here, 2 runs here, and 5 runs there; but I haven't been brutalized yet like I'm accustomed to with Classic Pitching.

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
Yeah, it was the first game, where I wasn't getting squeezed a lot. It was actually pretty good nice when it doesn't go against you like it has for me in games past.Moderator

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I will be honest... I was absolutely in love with this at first (as you can see by my original post on it)... but I'm sort of starting to waver on that. I don't really like that I can't control my velocity, and as others have mentioned, some games can get really long using it.
Plus, on PSV, it's a pain in the as trying to locate pitches and even see the damn pulse.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I will never dislike Pulse. I think it's a great new pitching interface.
But, I tried classic again for a full game and I fell back in love with it. Would you mind popping in here and going into more detail on your opinions? Possibly reading and/or responding to my post on the subject on page 3?

I'd like to get a discussion going on this. It's too early for me to make any sweeping statements on PP, by the way. But I have my concerns at the moment that I need to see whether or not play out.Comment
