Really picked up. Finished the triple-a season with a .310 BA, 10 HR, 75 RBI and resigned with Colorado for one more year starting the season as triple-a starter and I apparently got added to the 40 man roster in offseason and playing out spring now.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Batting goals get annoying, especially since it forces me to waste points on increasing my guys contact just to reach the goal.
I hate how your own fielders don't throw you the ball until you reach the base. If they threw it to me when I was like a step or two away from it, guys would be out so much more. I let up a number of hits already because my fielders got the ball, waited until i got to the bag, then threw it.Comment

Fielding goals aren't really that bad. As long as you don't make an error(or just don't get the ball at all) you'll be fine.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Someone inspired me to make a SS a couple posts back. So here we go:
Made him a contact swinger, speed, and a good glove.
#3, Drafted: New York Yankees; Placed in AA (Trenton Thunder.)
Spoiler
#3 Traded to Washington Nationals July 23rd, Placed in AA (Harrisburg Senators.)
Spoiler
2012 Stats:
.378 BA AVG, 54 RBI, 3 HR, 40 Doubles, 9 Triples, 35 SB, 19 Errors
AA All-Star, World Team Member.
Player Pro's: Great contact hitter, next level speed
Player Con's: Questionable throwing accuracy, Questionable clutch hitting with RISP.
I battled with Bowie all season for the #1 spot. We met in our final series where I hit a double in the bottom of the 9th before being sent home by some good team hitting. We gained a 1 game edge and won our division. We met Bowie in the first round of the playoffs where we swept them which was surprising considering they dealt us some tough losses most the season.
We beat NH 4-1 and won the championship.
I was pretty frustrated all season because I kept having to ask to be put in the top half of the line-up. they would do it for a game then send me back to 7th. I was also being asked to hit for 2-3 home runs and i just couldn't do it.
A lot of my errors came from a horrible 1B. I understand I should've added more points to throwing accuracy but he just couldn't scoop on some of my cross body throws.
Anyways this was probably the best first season of RTTS I ever had. My last 10 before the post season I hit over .500. It was pretty sick. The games were actually intense at the AA level. And the playoff game vs NH was insane too. I thought I was going yard a couple of times then I realized it wasn't going to happen.5Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Anybody have this happen to them in RTTS yet? Craziest thing I have ever seen:

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Anyone make an outfielder? I made a RF and every time a ball is hit my player automatically takes a few steps forward on his own. No matter if the pitch it hit shallow or deep.
I have fielding set to manual with no assist. Same experiences?PSN: buckeye02Comment

Yeah i made a cf and mine did that. Not all the time tho. I think it has to do with the awareness attribute. The one on the bottom. I forget the name.5Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
So I just got called up to MLB because Tulo is out for the season (iin the game obv) so I have to back up the other MLB SS. It sucks though because they keep making me pinch hit for the C in the 8th inning and then I have to catch the 9th.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Was offered a contract by the Braves to be the starter for the 2014 season then 2 days later BAM, I'm traded to O's lol. This is the 3rd time I've been traded and I don't really blame the Braves for trading me since when I did get called up to the MLB club I was absolutely dreadful. So me and some other bum for Zach Britton lolCall me the Clutch Man

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
And I've gone into a ridiculous slump. It doesn't help that one of my goals is 4 walks and it has been painful getting the 3 I have managed so far. Pitchers get way too many nice calls. Might have to turn the variable strike zone off completely as I like it, but I very rarely see a call go the way of the batter in RTTS. My ~.330 average is no more as I'm hovering around .265 now. Serious home run drought. Hoping I start seeing pitches better here soon.Last edited by Redacted01; 03-15-2012, 03:23 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Made a 2B speedster-type with high contact and a good glove.
Drafted by the Yankees and sent to AA Trenton. Was crushing the ball in the first few games. Had a bases-loaded double to the left field gap and almost all of my hits were for extra bases.
Then, diving for a ball up the middle, out for two months with a separated shoulder. Came back in June-ish and can't hit to save my life. I might get a hit every two games. My average has dropped from high-.300s to low-.200s. Sucks.
Oh, and my team never wins when I play. When I started, we lost eight of our first nine games. Then I got hurt and we clawed our way into first and had a decent lead. When I came back, we blow every game at some point (we were up seven runs by the fifth in one loss). Now we're in the middle of the pack.#24Comment
