Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
The Jack Parkman of Chattanooga got traded! Dodgers traded me to Atlanta for David Ross and Jurrjens, and I'm not complaining because it means I go home to Mississippi!Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Im a CF drafted by the royals. Was the starting CF in AA but got benched 4 different times for stealing when I want. I just cant stand standing on first and playing the running game. I was killing the ball, hitting like 350 and had 20 rbis through the allstar game. The week after the allstar game, I finally hit a HR (actually had 2 in the game) and have increased my rbis to 32. I was yelled at and threaten to be benched and not play at all (I knew it wouldn't happen, we had 2 OF on the DL). I instead got called up to the AAA team, where my first game was the US vs World allstar game. I only pinch hit but drew a walk and scored. I did start the AA allstar game, where I played very well. Im having a blast playing RTTS but can't wait for Knight and crew to finish the minors. I love the franchise mode.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Is your 2nd position set to catcher?
And I've gone into a ridiculous slump. It doesn't help that one of my goals is 4 walks and it has been painful getting the 3 I have managed so far. Pitchers get way too many nice calls. Might have to turn the variable strike zone off completely as I like it, but I very rarely see a call go the way of the batter in RTTS. My ~.330 average is no more as I'm hovering around .265 now. Serious home run drought. Hoping I start seeing pitches better here soon.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I'm now the DBacks best SP NOT in the MLB(still in AA....)
They don't have room for me on the 40 man roster, yet they have room for a D potential A ball guy...
My coach finally let me pitch 9 innings and i got CG shutout! Though start before that I got my first loss after letting up only 2 runs...Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I have started 5 different RTTS players at different positions and with different player types (speed CF, Speed SS, balanced 2B, power 3B, groundball SP and striking CL) to try to decide which one will be the long one, or maybe will alternate two.
Can you play defense without calling the pitches this year as created C?Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Created my guy as a CF.
- Drafted by the Nationals.
- Brought up to AAA mid-way through my first season.
- Made the All Star team.
- Traded to the Rockies during the off season and brought up to the majors a month into the season.
- Became the STARTING CF for the Rockies with a month left in the season.
- Now entering my first full season as a starter today. Can't wait.I play for realism and nothing else.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I don't know if this is a bug, but I'm getting sick of my pitcher being given hitting goals. I can see having a high fielding percentage, and I can even see improving my bunting skills, but I don't see why I get a training assignment to work on pitch recognition at the plate, nor why for the past 7 weeks I've had a goal to have my slugging percentage above .300.
If somebody wants to be a silver slugger pitcher, that's great. But that should be an added bonus they put on top, not a goal for every pitcher regardless of what they're looking to do.Go BC Eagles!!!
Go STL Cardinals!!!
Go STL Blues!!!
Go STL Rams...please don't get Sam Bradford killed...Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I got traded to the Rockies for Marco Scutaro too! I'm a 3B, just finished 2012 season with most RBI on team (64) plus 9 homers. My avg was brutal at .237 but in the offseason they offered me a 1yr deal as an AA bench player!!?? Now I'm ripping it up and batting .326 with a homer and 10 RBI in 31 at-bats. Why am I on the bench? Will I EVER get called up at this point?Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Question: After each game it lists the depth of the team/organization. It says my 3B is ranked 5/44 in AA and ranked 2/5 in organization.
I'm assuming this means I'm viewed as 5th best 3B in league and 2nd in Rockies organization, correct? If so, why am I in 2013 and an AA bench/utility player? I am ripping it up when I play too!
Anyone? ThanksComment
