Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

After being called up to AAA Indianapolis midway through 2012, I go 8-0 with a 1.58 ERA in the regular season and 2-0 with a 2.05 ERA in the postseason to help lead Indianapolis to the AAA National Championship The Pirates then re-signed me to a 1-year $587,500 deal, which leads me to believe I will be getting a spring training invite. Nope Now I'm starting 2013 as the ace at AAA Indianapolis.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

Just made my way into the 2016 season. Just won my second straight triple-crown while breaking my previous single season homerun record by 1 (81) and setting a new single season RBI record at 196. That was me playing every single game the past couple seasons so I think I'll sim way more now.

Some may remember, but if not, to summarize I was stuck with Tampa Bay. Since I didn't have the number of seasons to become a free agent I kept having to resign with them for 500,000 dollars and a year. This past offseason though something big happened.

Before I had the chance to accept the Rays new offer (1 year 4 million) I was traded straight up to the Rangers for Justin Mornuea(spelling?). Evan Longoria was also traded to the Rangers and the lineup is looking stacked.

Nice to finally be out of Tampa Bay and should be a fun season!

being a closer for a terrible team sucks. they only use you when there's a save situation and when you're losing a lot of games that doesn't happen very often. so Kenny powers is on the Royals, they're 18 games back and they suck lol. it's almost july and i've only pitched 14 innings, 14 saves. i signed a 3 year contract, i hope they trade me.

So I've been on vacation but will get to play for the first time since Wednesday. Hopefully this doesn't affect how I play.

My Rangers are an offensive juggernaut; ranked #1 in all offensive categories except stolen bases (2nd). Unfortunately, the bullpen is a group of pitchers bunched together from pee-wee. I may be able to score 10 against anyone on a given night, but will give up 15 in return. Anyhow, finally got to free agency and was given a few offers. I chose not to sign with any of those teams and am currently doing a spring training tryout with Boston. I'm not the biggest Red Sox fan, but I love Fenway.

Yes, played every game. Season 6 was mostly a write-off though, with 120 days spent on the DL.

Decided to make a fictional character as I usually make myself like I played, a speedy SS with little to no power.

Made a first baseman named Stubby Wilkins, a 5'8" 232 LB 18-year old phenom. I'm going for an all-or-nothing type player, building on power and plate vision/discipline to begin with. Right now I am in about mid-June of 2012 (drafted by the Dodgers), almost at the AA All Star Game and Wilkins is tearing it up. I'm batting .345 with 11 HR and 46 RBI. I'm the third best first baseman in the Dodgers organization and moving up fast. I should note that I'm playing on All Star with tough sliders and I usually don't hit nearly this good in RTTS, but for some reason I'm raking with this guy. I'm hoping to get the call up to AAA before the year's over, but if I don't, I'm sure I'll see AAA in 2013, if not the show by then.

Finally got called up to Pittsburgh. I spent all of 2013 at AAA Indianapolis despite posting a 14-8 record with a 1.92 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 177 SO. Prior to the 2014 season Pittsburgh signed me to a 3/$9.75 deal to be their ace. I'm ranked 1st in the Pirates organization, yet only 60th in the league. How pathetic lol.

I've had one start at the MLB level. On Opening Day, I went 8 innings only giving up 1 ER. I struck out 7 along the way to the W against Atlanta.
