Nearing the AAA All-star break with the Rainiers my stats are .406 AVG 22 HR 31 SB and 51 RBI. So as you can see my speed and BR ability is increasing as I start to steal bases. I have wanted to start stealing since MLB 11, but never did. I am expecting the big league call-up soon as I near the halfway point in the season.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Im doing good with getting in RBI's with the Tigers but our home park is a pain in the butt for HR's hit a few good one's and end up coming shortComment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I have already hit 6 HR in a little under a month in the MLB and I am a starter after completing all of my advancement goals. One of my HR was Inside the park as I barely beat the tag at home plate. Four have come at home in Seattle while the other two (including the inside the parker) came on the road.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Just hit for my first cycle...
First AB a solid single
Second AB with hit and run on, another single
Third AB parked a hanging 1-0 curveball into left field for the HR
Fourth AB with hit and run on again, doubled down the 3b line
Final AB, took a fastball up and away the opposite way, hit it off the top of the right field wall, was going three all the way, and slid head first, just beating the tag.
Awesome!
Drafted by Chicago, made AA all star game, then shortly thereafter promoted to AAA... Then traded to Atlanta before the end of the season. First full AAA season so far: (includes short 15 day DL stint, calf strain, and for some reason lost my starting job for a week or so until I won it back...

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
. . .
I made my MLB debut in Arlington in front of all of my friends and family. I went 1-4 with a single for my first Big League hit, a seeing-eye single between 1st and 2nd. My manager said it was "ok." Whatever, I didn't care. It was a dang hit!
Through three games now, (all of which I've started) I'm batting .240 and walking way more than I ever did at the other levels. I'm actually having to tell myself not to swing so much because they will throw a lot of junk for you to chase at the big level.
I plan to update you guys another month or so into the career.
-- Stephen
I played the remainder of the AAA season at Tucson as the starting 1B, although I had to earn my job back after my demotion. (makes no sense, but okay, I earned it back within a week)
I finished the year hitting a modest .255 with 16 HR and 79 RBI. But then, since I was on the 40-man, I earned a September call-up.
I did not disappoint this time around. In limited playing time, if it wasn't for a pinch-hit ground out, I would have hit safely in all eight games I started.
The highlight was the Sept. 29 game vs. the Dodgers at Chavez Ravine. I took Chad Billingsley to the woodshed, going 3/5 on the night with my first MLB longball in my final at bat, which turned out to be my final at bat of the season!
I finished the year with a salty .270 average, a home run and 10 RBI. In the off-season, I used all my banked training points to boost power, plate discipline and clutch. My efforts were rewarded with a 5 year, 8,125,000 contract as the AAA starting 1B but an invitation to Spring Training.
Let's take this thing!!!

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I am near the end of my "Half-Season", with the Mariners. I have 20 homers 36 RBI and about 30 SB. We are 24.5 games back of the Rangers (who I hope will make me an offer after 6 years in Seattle)and we are 62-77. I hope I can help make a playoff push for this team next season and maybe management can make a big trade, even if it (hopefully) involves me. As of now we have Felix Hernandez, who is entering probably his final year with the Mariners, and myself. Ichiro is in New York playing for the Yanks after we traded him for Jesus Montero.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Just started 2016 in mine, I am the #2 starter behind Verlander on the Tigers. Last year's World Series winning rotation was Verlander (until he tore his shoulder), me, Matt Garza, Max Scherzer, Roy Oswalt. In 2016, the rotation is Verlander, me, Michael Pineda, CC Sabathia and Matt Garza. Scherzer is in the pen, Oswalt retired.
I am lucky to have been drafted by the Tigers. Won the World Series twice, once when I was a reliever and once as a starter. Just got $17M in arbitration for 1 year.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Depends on what your pitches are. I raised velocity and control on my fastballs first and control and break on my breaking balls and changesups. Making sure your HR/9, K/9 and Stamina get a significant amount of points is key too. Stamina is a big one, my player took the leap to the next level once I got my stamina up and wasn't getting tired in the 5th.Comment
