Has anyone found the perfect combination of settings when it comes to your play style? I'm pretty much open to playing any position except pitcher or catcher. The games just take too damn long. Hahah.

lol @ this game....I keep getting dominated by Josh Collmenter. Yeah, you'll probably have to google him too. So I go and check stats prior to my RTTS game (6th season) and, low and behold, none other than Josh Collmenter is the NL Cy Young award winner

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Just started one as a third baseman, drafted by the Cincinnati Reds Organisation. Starting out at AA Pensacola Blue-Wahoos (What a name).
First series against the Montgomery Biscuits (Don't you just love minor league names?) Went 2-4 in my debut with two singles, and have started out red hot, with an average above .400 after the first week.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
My 1B is the star player on the Mariners in his second season with the team and apparently I am no longer a rookie because last year counted as my rookie year even though it was half a season. I won the AL rookie of the year award. I signed a 5-year $23M contract with the Mariners at the end of the season which will take me to the end of my days with Seattle. The Mariners are 6-6 right now at the beginning of this season.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
After 5 seasons with KC never sniffing the playoffs I was traded to the Marlins.
They happen to be defending champs.
We lead the wild card all year long (friggin Mets won 102 games so the division was out of the question), then lose it on the last game of the season to the Phillies.
They ended the year on a 17 game winning streak to edge me by 1 game.
I didn't play them the final three weeks of the season.
Why aren't there 2 wild card's?
On a even crappier note: I'm not a free agent since injuries/AAA benching cost me almost half a season of MLB time.
I won the triple crown with KC, then was the triple crown winner with Miami with a 50-50 season.
.336, 56, 142, 51 steals
My salary was 10.5 million.
I somehow lost my arbitration hearing to take a pay cut.
They offered 10.25 and I pushed for 18.
I want to sim most of the season just so I can try to get on a team of my choice... arbitration has left a very bad taste in my mouth.
I just don't want to jeopardize my chances at a big payday and career numbers.Last edited by chops44; 06-02-2012, 10:21 AM.Comment

The Tigers offered be a 3 year, $30M contract. Pretty good offer, especially since it would have taken me through 6 years and to my first year of free agency but I decided to go to arbitration. I asked for $17M and I won my arbitration case. I am going to be virtually loaded!Comment
