He literally cant throw strikes. I've heard its questioned if he can even be a bullpen guy much less a starter. Its really bad, atleast the stuff is still there. 39 k's 38 BB's in 42 IP this year. It doesnt look like its improving either

With an injury to my jack of all trades Mike McCoy, I'm looking to pick up a similar player with maybe a little bit better of a bat.I'm looking at Blake DeWitt from the Cubs who are totally out of it at 13 games behind the Brewers and Cards.

          I'm thinking a C or D prospect should be good enough.He's batting .265 with 1 HR and 4 RBI.Thoughts?

I'm starting my franchise as the Rangers and want to add some better bench players. I would like to acquire maybe brendon Ryan and another one. Does anyone have any ideas.

What deal would I have to get Lincicum and make it seem fair? I'm looking to get him for prospects. I'm not looking to move Kinsler. I may be willing to do Andrus if I had to.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

In the third year of my Phillies Franchise. I started the year off alright, and then Howard broke his shin in the 8th game of the season, and is likely out two months or so. That being said, my roster looks like this:

                    Rollins
                    Galvis
                    Morse
                    Howard*
                    Mayberry Jr.
                    Polanco/Stewart
                    Chooch
                    Dom Brown

                    Ty Wigginton
                    Ryan Theriot
                    Lance Nix
                    Sebastion Valle

Now, I have been working on a trade. Blanton (1/3.12 contract) and Cesar Hernandez (B prospect) to the Twins for Michael Young (2/12.6). I have May ready to be called up for me, but Blanton has been very good for me, and his attributes haven't regressed at all where Young's have a little bit. Still, he can play first for me while Howard is gone and third when he gets back.

My Pirates have really been struggling the first month of the season, winning only 3 games. I am actually considering trading Tabata, who's onlh hitting .156 and has 17 K's already, to see what I can get for him. Is he someone I should try and hold on to? Or should I try and get someone for him? Also, what would be something reasonable to help my team out to get if I give up Tabata? I have not made any moves so far so my roster looks the same as the normal Pirates.

                        Clay Buchholz (guilty by association)

How are the other Phillies pitchers performing? In my opinion, if they are still holding their own, and you can afford to bring May up to have a rookie pitch every fifth day then by all means go for it. The Phillies have been my favorite team for a long time, and what they need is offense. I see that you have Morse which helps, but if you're looking to contend now I think Young would be a good addition. How are you approaching the Phillies? A win now method or more of a rebuilding structure?

Thanks for the reply! To be honest I've been kind of in between making a full out run, and rebuilding. I've kept most major prospects (Brown, Greene, May, Aumont), and haven't sold anyone (kept Hamels on a 6 year deal, let Vic go so I could re-sign Hamels). The biggest move have been going from Pence to Morse this offseason (Pence was asking for money I didn't want to give up. I got Morse for slightly cheaper, and hes a guy I think will produce more than Pence this year). Other than that, its just been minor additions like Stewart, Encarnacion in my first year, and Ichiro in my last year. I think I'm going to go ahead with the Blanton trade, Worley has been a beast this year.

Yeah, I mean Michael Young is one of those ageless guys that can probably still give you at worst 2 years of hitting around .280 with 15-20 Hr's and 80-85 RBIs. He's someone who can definitely make an impact on your team. I think the Hamels extension was great too because he has at least 4 more great years in him. How has Brown progressed? I always lose him in the rule 5 draft... so I never really get to play with him for more than a year.
