The Phillies really like Galvis, so realistically it would take a lot. They feel like Galvis can become a better hitter with time and his defense is already there.

Would it be possible they would take less because of his back issue and his recent suspension for using PEDs?

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

If you're playing realistically, he kind of is. The Phillies really like him and regard him as a future gold glover and everday middle infield starter. To quote Ruben Amaro JR. (GM of the Phillies) "We fully support the program and the decision. At the same time, we support the player, we want him to get healthy and get back on the field. We believe in the kid and think he has a great future for us." So, as you can see they like him a lo. Plus, if you're going to pretend he's on the 60 day DL in the game, the game won't allow you to trade for a hurt player. If you give up a good 3rd base or 2nd base prospect it MIGHT work, but the PHilly fans really like Galvis too. Not so much for his hitting, but it will get better.

He's not that good though and was never a top prospect of any sort

The Cubs just offered me this after thee deadline:

                      Kevin Youkils 32 y/o A pot. 3B
                      Avg. 318
                      HR 12
                      RBI 58
First Place in the Gold Glove chase

                      For

                      Matt Garza 28 y/o B pot. SP
                      Javier Baez 20 y/o A pot. SS

I need more pitching to get to the playoffs, and I traded away Xander Bogaerts, my future SS, and Middlebrooks is ready to break through for the Sox. So what do you think?

This trade is so ridiculously bad you'd probably get the phone hung up on you

If you've ever seen him play, he has an amazing glove. And I never said he was a top prospect, it's just that hte Phillies really like him.

They offered it to me. Again I don't know why, but they're in the market for a 3B, and that's what they offered. I didn't accept it. The way I see it, the Cubs are 5 games out of the wild card, realistically, Matt Garza wouldn't resign with them in free agency, would he? They have Castro, so Baez wouldnt have a spot on the team eventually. What if I threw in a B prospect or two?

Castro can always get traded or Baez can move to a different position...there's no chance the Cubs trade Baez a year after they just drafted him
