I think you're being slightly harsh. I think he just needs to look at things beyond the current season's stats.

yep i think he's worth a couple of decent B's IF he's putting up numbers anything close to IRL...it all depends on what he's doing in the guy's particular franchise pretty much and how far along it is

well im basing off whats going on IRL, if he can pull Randall Delgado and be in talks and package including Zach Lee. Ill do the same in my franchise.

          It is my chise anyway.

If you aren't going to listen to anything we say, then why even post in here...?

i do for the most part, but bugle hasn't got a clue when it comes to the stuff dempster brings to the table, and thats not knocking him, just stating that im fimiliar with the cubs as i live in the area and read alot into their farms systems.

hes a Vet (yes 35) but still throwing well, well enough to lead the lg in era. past seasons he was still recovering from the transition of closer to starter.

dont tell me that Dempster can't bring in atleast two B's regardless of Video gms or real life.

hes a hell of a pitcher IMO and his league leading ERA speaks for itself, regardless of age

That I know, but he didn't listen to a thing we said. I mean, if you're dead set on your opinion, you don't need ours...

Look, I'm sorry, but you're being a bit of a homer. He only brought in ONE B IRL, and he's leading the MLB in ERA. So, think about that....

i see your point....and as a opposing GM of a contending team, if i were to trade for Demp CURRENTLY(provided his performance mirrors similarly of what's going on in the real-world) i'd probably have no issues giving up 2 mid-B's (depending on who the prospects are of course)

OK, my final verdict- One mid to high B.

                        Just my opinion.

i can see Bugle's point too tho....asking Dempster to replicate an all-world year is asking for a lot...throw in the fact his age and his status as a rental, you're walking a very, very short tightrope...taking the D'Backs scenario, with Bauer, Bradley and Skaggs in my system, i would give up Corbin and another decent piece if i needed to solidify my rotation

Soriano is actually doing really well, hitting .290 with 20 homers and around 60 rbis at the All-Star break. Marmol isnt doing well though.

Soriano is getting paid a stupid amount for a few years. I don't care if he has 40 HRs, you aren't getting anything for him.

If Marmol isn't doing well, you get a D and an F, haha.

Well then Marmol is worthless. I'd say 1 C for soriano
