What's the value of Matt LaPorta? Once the centerpiece of the Sabathia deal and now unwanted in Cleveland?

The Tribe have acquired Lars Anderson for 27 yo SP Steven Wright (who sounds like a D 'prospect' but I guess he could be a C).

Anyway, if Anderson is moved for a C, is that what LaPorta's stock has fallen to as well or can you still make a case for one B? Two C's?

Depends on how he's doing. Two C's for Laporta like, 1 verrrry low B if he's playing well. If he's in AAA, automatic two C's.

I think a C or two is unfortunately all that he's worth

It really does depend on how he plays.

In videogames, have a thing for prospects that haven't lived up to their promise and run the 'fresh start' theory. LaPorta certainly fits that mold

                Thanks for the input guys

I'm using Scott's v3 rosters but I have backed them up to opening day as close as possible. I think that I'm going to play as the Royals. I would like to get either Gordon Beckham or Jed Lowrie to play 2B just because I like them and have been following them for awhile. Trying to keep it somewhat realistic but at least fair, what do you guys feel are my options?

Lowrie can be had at the right price....depends on what kind of numbers he's putting up

Still spring so I imagine it would have to be for at least what they gave up Melancon for though they can't realistically expect to contend and the Red Sox got ripped off...

                        with a blind resume, i'd say a low-B and high-C

Let's put it this way. Almost through may in my chise he's batting above .300 with 13HR and 22RBI. what can you get for that?

                            preferred positions? I'd assume anything but SS & 2B & 3B
