Mauer isn't untouchable. I believe he was put on waivers to gauge who was interested. I would say an A and 2 high Bs.

A.) That's on the low side.

B.) Trade waivers means nothing. Teams routinely put most/all of their players on trade waivers to 'gauge who's interested.' Only the big names are leaked, however.

I went a little on the low side for Mauer because of his contract. He's making 23 million for 6 more years I believe. Considering he can't play catcher everyday, his contract, and the fact that the Twins are in a complete rebuild, I thought that lowered his value a little bit.

Just my opinion. I wouldn't be against making it 2 A's and a mid B. It depends on how likely you think the Twins would deal him.

Well if 3 A's is the case, then I don't think anyone is going to make that trade haha. Paying 23 million a year for a catcher that can't play everyday? Seems a little high to me.
