    Was it a REALLY hard liner that bounced right in front of him? Perhaps this could be a legitimate case where it could happen in real life.

    As for the patch, I'm loving the real-life start times in Franchise/Season/RTTS. Has The Show ever gone to this much detail before in which they have the 1:20 starts for the Cubs, 1:15/7:15 starts for the Cardinals, and so on? I mean, they even got the correct special start times for the national Fox and ESPN broadcasts. Now that's a lot of detail!

      It may be sycological but I see improvement in my NEW (unfortunately!) franchise. My first game against Garza was a success in that He threw pitches that were around the edges and middle more. I drew 4 walks off of him in 5 innings. The thing that I absolutely loved is that the ai actually through around my guns. I had not seen that it the previous version. Usually the pitcher would have no strategy and come at every hitter the same. Did not see that in my new first franchise game.

      Right field issue of throws into first seem to be near impossible to execute now.

      The one thing that I really do not like is the depth of right field just seems way too shallow for me. I don't remember previous show's having that issue.

      Hitting does seem tougher but I did put the bat on the ball more consistently but saw a different variety of hits. I had hardly ever popped up to the infield before but had 2 in the game.

      Still see the robo 2nd and shortstops with line drives. Shots that clearly should be base hits are robbed by those guys with leaps of 14 feet or more!

      All in all, played a great game of ball.

      By the way, I am using TNK's sliders verbatim except for manager hook which is at 9. Mainly because the starters tend not to be managed properly IMO

        yes the only reason i was able to throw a runner out at 1st after the patch (that i can see) is because the right fielder is still to close, constantly, i know i can change it manually but why should i have to when i have it set to auto

          Here's a question: With the patch, we now have some 3:30 and 4:30 start times. Is this actually reflected when you play? I.E. is it getting dark toward the end of the game?

            Re: MLB 12 The Show - Patch Impressions Thread

            Downloaded patch last night;
            Continued Pre-Patch Franchise using SCEA downloaded rosters from 3-4.
            I'm playing ALL CPU vs CPU games from Opening Day.
            Impressions;
            Schedule does have correct starting times.
            Seeing slightly more offense than before. This is a good thing since I had experienced 12 straight 1-0 games before patch.
            I do not see the freezing issue, nor the decimalized stats that everyone else is seeing.
            It's early yet, only about five games Post-Patch, but I am getting a great experience so far.
            My theory would be that the problems are caused by a conflict somewhere between the game system and downloaded materials.
            I'm very careful about downloading rosters, sounds, edits etc.
            I also seem to be pretty lucky with avoiding problems.
            After years of reading everyone elses problems, I have to think it must be more than just coincidence.

              I noticed same thing with Robo 2nd Basemen, lowered Fielders Reaction time to 4. Seems to have allieviated the problem,

                I tested out a 6:05 night game vs. a 7:05 night game the very next day, and indeed the 6:05 game accounted for the extra hour of daylight. I would hope that the day games have the same behavior.

I know I saw some who had that concern pre-patch. To be honest I never noticed it or the start time issue myself, I just kind of plod along and get my games in.

                  First game I beat the Rays 4-3 on a 8th inning two run shot by Granderson into the short porch at the stadium.

                  Second game I lost 9-4, Rays crushed Kuroda and kept pounding Freddy Garcia. They had 17 hits in the game and I couldn't get anything going offensively. It feels like the gameplay has gotten even better in my experience so far. I hope to get more in today.

                  I think the game plays even better, after the patch too. I'm just happy the CPU isn't constantly quick pitching me anymore, lol. The corrected hot/cold zones for behind the pitcher views, is very welcome too.

                  Thru 3.5 games post-patch, hitting seems easier. I could just be more tuned in... Pulse pitching seems a bit tighter too (in a good way) - like previously mentioned, it could be placebo. Either way, still enjoying the game as much as ever.

                  *pre-patch franchise btw

                      Absolute godsend for me this one

                      I love to take my time between pitches and think about what could be coming next or just soak in the ballpark atmosphere, honestly this fix was as big as any other in the patch for me.

                      I'll finally be restarting my franchise tonight and can now do so in the knowledge I can take each at bat at my own pace.

                          my impression of the newest patch is.... it was good intent to fix problems with the game but..... it has broken the game with the freeze issue, the patch is garbage, im very frustrated, and for anyone sticking up for this patch, i know i can delete the patch, i waited for a month for this patch, to start my franchise with the right schedule times and blah blah, so erasing the patch would defeat the whole purpose of waiting in the first place, i could be 2 years in to a franchise if they just woulda got it right in the first place, my opinion

                            This game has been a homerun derby since the patch. What did they do to the offense? Before it was a really fun realistic offensive game. Now it's just homerun after homerun.

                              Did you start a franchise before the patch?
