Wow. I was following this close on Friday when the patch came out, then did family stuff all weekend to see another 30 pages added onto this thread!

I am using Knight's spring training roster in 2 different franchises where i control all 30 teams with 1 profile. I had set the first franchise up before the patch but not played a game. The second franchise I started after the download of the patch, same settings. I am not using any sounds saved on the PS3.

I haven't had any issues freezing in the schedule or any of the other places that I have read in the thread, but i like to play all of the games out and not sim anything, and when i finish a game i get to the exit load screen where it throws up the box score and it just sits there.

The weird thing about my freeze is that it doesn't completely lock up the system. I am able to use the PS3 putton on the controller and exit the game. When I go back in it acts as though the game was never played.

Not sure if there is anything else you need to know? Just wanted to put out there that starting a franchise after the patch was downloaded wasn't working for me.

Maybe SCEA should rethink putting patches out on Friday the 13th??? lol

I'm probably going to regret this, but what the heck.

I started a Cubs dynasty before the patch came out and downloaded the patch as well. I had saved a game in progress during the Miami series before the patch and downloaded the patch, then finished the game. I have played probably 8-9 more games since then and have had no problem with freezing or anything else.

Now, I only control the Cubs, and only used the SCEA rosters with one added player. Now, I'm just wondering if i should be expecting a freeze shortly or not. I really don't go back to past games to check box scores. I simmed a few days through the season and to June and didn't have any problems........so far.

I saw another post stating that if you start a new franchise AFTER downloading the patch, the freezing shouldn't happen. I started one this saturday, and after 9 games, it hasn't happened once. that really bites, because I was 35 games in on my other franchise. glad to know it actually works. now lets patch up other glitches in the game.

If you were 35 games in, you probably could have just continued your old franchise...

My feelings exactly. I had started a new Cubs 30 team control franchise on Wednesday when OSFM opening day rosters came out. I was only on day 1 of Spring training adjusting 40 man rosters. I waited until after the patch then finished editing the rosters and skipped ahead to the regular season. So far so good. I have 3 games completed 2 of which I had to do in-game saves and haven't had any issues.

I may sim ahead tonight however and see if anything happens before I get to involved in it.

Alright it's been three days since this patch dropped. Everyone was patient for the first patch to be released, and so far everyone is being patient for a fix to this patch. However patience only goes so far. Hopefully we hear something by the end of the day today. Whether it's about how close they are to releasing the fix for this patch, or whether they let us know that they still can't figure out a fix. As customers who paid 60 dollars for this game we deserve some sort of update about a patch that really "broke" the game for many. And by the way I am not even one those who had a franchise going. It seems to me that if we do not hear anything today or tonight about a fix that the anger is going to swell and patience is going to run out. I'm not trying to start an angry mob or anything like that either lol. I just wanted to voice my opinion on the topic.

I know 2k said they were going to attempt it with a patch.. My recollection is SCEA said it wasn't possible via a title update.

2k has it in the original copy of the game. It's not terribly conspicuous but you have an option for setting the series length for that round, and the default is 1. I believe you can turn it off (but I am not positive).

Now only time will tell if it was implemented correctly.

I agree. I was one of the people preaching patience but I am surprised nothing has happened yet

My RTTS froze in the post game load screen heading to the RTTS dashboard. Jest game post patch. Just deleted the additional game data and am being forced to re-download the patch. Hopefully it works ok. Not thrilled about this since I'm playing in June of 2018.

I've played a couple RTTS games since re-downloading the patch and things seem to be okay. Fingers crossed.

Nevermind. Game froze again. 5 games in, top of the 3rd, pitcher throws a ball and I can't swing. Catcher won't throw ball back to pitcher so I'm forced to quit. This blows.
