How can i delete this patch? Awful.

While everyone was praising SCEA for this patch a week ago, I was looking at prior history and saying "be cautious before giving thanks!". Previous patches in previous seasons have created more problems than they've fixed. This is another case of that apparently!

MLB 10 - they patched the intentional walk bug in the game and left us with the "start" button bug, which was just as bad.

Now we have a game that is COMPLETELY unplayable in several games modes. It is literally broken because you try and play and you end up staring at home plate until somebody leaves or disconnects!

Once again, in an attempt to fix some bugs, they created even more in all game modes.

I deleted the patch, started a new season and it still freezes in the top of the 1st every freaking time.

Disappointed in the lack of communication from SCEA. A simple response and timetable would do a lot for those looking for answers.

I played few games and then today it just started freezing. I uninstalled the patch and still freezes. I am using Knights Original Roster. Does starting a new franchise work or should I wait until they fix the patch? If I simulate to May would that help?

My Franchise was freezing on 4/16. I could not even sim past that date.
I deleted my Franchise and stated over and just finished the games on 4/16 and simmed a few on 4/17 with no freezes.

It was suggested that you do one of 2 things, or even both,

Two options
1 - For F/R/S that was started pre-patch: delete the patch, and run through April (make sure you are PAST April 30th) then re-download the patch.

2 - Start over.

I simply started over. Wasn't painful. I was one game in to my franchise so I was not in the same boat as the people who were say 30 games in.

Not a single problem yet. Other than cross platform saves, which raises my blood pressure to say the least.

Here's what happened to me.

I am currently in August with my blue jays franchise. Everything I've read led me to believe downloading the patch would be fine because I'm far enough along in my franchise.

I had freezes immediately after downloading the patch. All when looking at the calendar. When I loaded my franchise I noticed the last game I had completed didn't happen anymore. Basically a game with no scores or anything.

I have read similar stories but I thought this stuff was only happening in April and if we were past that we were fine.

I deleted the patch and then played till an off day and redownloaded the patch to see if applying the patch on an off day on the schedule would be better.

Now it shows the game before my off day never happened and I can't advance.

Anyways just thought I'd share my experience that it doesnt just happen in april as I hope it will help in fixing the problem

Still no official word by SCEA about the freezing issue yet? I'm quite disappointed because a patch usually should solve problems instead of adding new ones...

I was just reading the first comment by Pared on this thread. I'm already in May (season). So what can I do in order to get this fixed? Please don't tell me to start all over again because that would be unacceptable

In other thread that was started by Russell, it states that after May 1st you are in the clear and shouldn't have any freezing issues. Bobhead and BKrich did some extensive testing and found this to me true.

Well, whatever Bobhead and BKrich tested and how extensive their testing was, I yet do have massive freezing problems when clicking on a game in the schedule - and I am already playing games in May! It doesn't matter if I want to simulate a game or start it in order to play it - the game just keeps freezing in the schedule! And it freezes plenty! I play a 30-team season and I really hope this major bug gets fixed because bugs like this one are extremely annoying, simply because it cropped up via patch that should fix things instead of causing new trouble. And that freezing bug is a major bug!

Wow. I was following this close on Friday when the patch came out, then did family stuff all weekend to see another 30 pages added onto this thread!

I am using Knight's spring training roster in 2 different franchises where i control all 30 teams with 1 profile. I had set the first franchise up before the patch but not played a game. The second franchise I started after the download of the patch, same settings. I am not using any sounds saved on the PS3.

I haven't had any issues freezing in the schedule or any of the other places that I have read in the thread, but i like to play all of the games out and not sim anything, and when i finish a game i get to the exit load screen where it throws up the box score and it just sits there.

The weird thing about my freeze is that it doesn't completely lock up the system. I am able to use the PS3 putton on the controller and exit the game. When I go back in it acts as though the game was never played.

Not sure if there is anything else you need to know? Just wanted to put out there that starting a franchise after the patch was downloaded wasn't working for me.

Maybe SCEA should rethink putting patches out on Friday the 13th??? lol

That I haven't seen. Have you tried uninstalling and then re-installing the patch?

Hello everyone,

I had a franchise save and then did the 1.06 patch update. Then when I got to a 2 game series against the As I could sim but couldnt look at the boxscores, it would freeze.

Soooo ... i just simed those 2 games and then my next series simmed as well and had access to the box scores no problem. So far im almost done may and I have no problems
