Ok so let me get this straight. I am not far into my franchise. I guess I should delete my save files, dl patch, then start over and I won't have freezing issues. Or would it be better to just not dl the patch?

That's what I need to know. I haven't had any freezing issues without the patch. I don't want to download it if it's gonna create a bunch of problems.

Granted...I wasn't far into my other one...but why chance it?

Hey I did wait for the rosters. lol
I just happened to play nearly a month in a couple weeks or whatever it was.

Franchise was going good this year, getting great results......and having the Vita now made it easier to finish a couple games a day for me.
I guess that would explain why this issue and not being able to play the game has gotten me so worked up......I'm not going to over-state things, because at the end of the day, it is a Video Game.....but as far as entertainment options, the Show was taking up that time and bringing a lot of enjoyment.

I have NOT downloaded the patch yet and do not plan to. My question is am I safe to start a season with any team and not worry about freezing?? I thought I read something about certain teams not working properly, and just wanted to make sure that was only the case if you did download the patch. I would like to start one with Oakland. I mentioned this in another thread, but I've had 5 freezes in a row now. Three in the top of the 1st, one in the bottom of the 1st, and one in the bottom of the 6th (all league games).

I don't know if it's necessarily related to hitting the ball though, since 3 of my 5 freezes were during a pitching or fielding attempt.

I believe I may have located where the problem lies. If both teams use the "catcher" camera view for both hitting and pitching I think it stops the freezing for the most part. I switched mine to that and tried to play someone in a league game who I kept freezing against before doing that, and 1st time we tried, the game froze at the bottom of the 1st instead of the top of the 1st (which was when it froze the previous 4 times we had attempted this), me being the home team. When that happened he messaged me saying he had his camera on broadcast for pitching instead of catcher view accidently, so he switched it and we tried again, and not only completed the game successfully, but completed a 2nd one as well.

While this sounds good, I should also point out though that before completing that, I was trying to play a league game against our very own millenium, who did switch to catcher cam, and we were still freezing. It was happening at the bottom of the 1st (I was home team again), which tells me if it's the camera, it's either his pitching or my hitting camera, but we were both on catcher. Also though, after this incident but before the previous one, I took the time to erase ALL files of the game, then re-install the game and the patch, so wondering if that had anything to do with it too?

The freeze itself. Here's how it was doing it in detail: First time the ball was hit and the camera changed to fielder view, it would play that out, then the first moment that the camera was wanting to shift back to the hitting view, it would freeze. It never actually made the shift to that view, but it would be right when it was about to. At least the majority of them were that. There were a couple of exceptions where it just kinda happened randomly.

If I download the patch and start a new franchise, will I have to deal with freezing issues? Or does it only affect existing franchises?

Also, does the patch delete the "sound of the show" files I uploaded?

Could someone please explain to me if I am screwed or not with my RTTS?

I started before the patch was released.
I saved after the patch had been installed.
I hadn't frozen until I recently reached Free Agency and signed with Texas.
Keeps freezing at the first game of the season.

Seeing as it is 2020 I really want to avoid starting over, so if someone could please let me know if there is something I can do I would really appreciate it.

You should be safe if you start a new franchise, As far as the sounds of the show I have no clue

Not a big deal for me so far, but I came across every time that I try to view a box score in my Blue Jays franchise, the game freezes. Pretty easy fix, just don't look at the box score for me haha.

You're safe to start your franchise without downloading that 1.06 patch that will cause the game to freeze. I haven't had any freezes until I downloaded this patch - neither when clicking on box scores in the schedule, nor during a game - and I am playing a 30-team season! As far as I can tell, nobody else has had this trouble before the patch got released.

You won't only get the game to freeze when checking box scores. You might also freeze the game when starting a game. Happened to me and others dozens of times yet.

Maybe I'm a lucky one.

I'm nearing the end of April in my Cubs dynasty started before the patch and have yet to have a freezing problem. I don't go back and check old box scores or really check any other team's schedule also. Maybe that's the reason why I haven't had any troubles yet.

The one thing I would be cautious of is when you reach the end of the season...From reading this thread, I think some teams (Mariners) may only end up with 161 games played. Not sure if you would be able to advance to the offseason. I would sim to the end of the season but not save to see if this is the case just to be safe. I would hate to reach the end of the season and find that I can not continue to the offseason.

Good point. Will test that out tonight. Thankfully I've only played like 2-3 games since the patch, so while it would suck to have to start over, it won't be too too bad.

I have one with the Royals going and I lasted until June 1st without freezing, now I have to do the workaround later when I get home, as I did start it before the patch thankfully.

So I'm sure everyone has heard this a million times but I just need to vent.

Was playing through a franchise and was 50 games in playing every game and now I can't even start a game. I can't believe how mad I am.
