But right now, I'm in the middle of another game...Weiland is pitching right now for me, after Lyles started the game against the Mets. Lyles gave up a triple and single in the first, allowed the 1 run over 3 innings. I like Weiland a lot...those 4 and 5 spots in the rotation is really up for grabs right now. I could see Weiland, Harrell (sorry!), or Lyles all winning one of them for me.

Another question, where does Brett Wallace stand? I mean obviously he's blocked by Lee now...and Singleton in 2-3 years. So where does that leave him for me?
the no-name bullpen can be pretty good for u if utilized properly...i have a man-crush on Lyles and Weiland is exceeding expectations for a 5th starter so gotta agree with u on both of those guys.....as far as Wallace goes, i have him starting at 3B at AAA....i would've loved for him to be my 3B once CJ got traded but he's on a cold streak plus i would like him to get more seasoning....if he's performing well for u, i can certainly see him being one of your first position-player callups...or u can replace CJ with him if he tears it up in Spring Training and Johnson falters mightily

Gotcha, I forgot he could play 3rd haha. But yeah, I think Lyles is for sure getting a spot, barring injury or a total blowup...he's been my favorite guy to use so far and his pitches fit what I want in a starter perfectly.

So that means its Harrell vs Weiland for #5 in my rotation

I know who you're rooting for lol

It's neck and neck right now...Harrell's first start was really good and Weiland pitched a hell of a 3 innings of relief for me. I think what I'm gonna do is play their starts for the rest of spring training. That way I can still get acclimated to the team and also solve position battles without having to play 30 games to do so haha.

I watched the Astros - Indians series this weekend and i'm actually kind of interested in doing one of these franchises. I love the park, the retro unis, and some of the players.

always room for more Astros franchisers!

Update (Not #5 starter related haha.):

Ok, so I played a Bud Norris start against Philly as he was the last starter who I hadn't used. Travis Buck homered for me and Wallace had a double and single...but we lost 10-3. Bullpen blew up, and I also got called for a balk (which I thought was kinda cool haha.)

But Wallace is raking right now, hitting .450 in spring with 5 RBIs in 10 games played. And Buck's homer tied him for the team lead...with 1 lmao

lol..hey u basically starting from scratch with the 'Stros so any contributions u get from relative unknowns are a big bonus...even if it is spring training...as u start to shave games off the ST schedule, a clearer picture will pop up in ur head on who to keep and who not

Alright: Blue Jays vs Astros with the pitching matchup being Romero vs Harrell.

                              Harrell: 5IP, h, 0ER, BB, 5K

The walk was to Bautista on a borderline pitch...Harrell came right back though and punched out Joey Bats in his next AB

That's pretty much everything of note for this game for me at least, cuz they shut me out 2-0...although Brett Cecil did pitch and I hit him in the head with a liner from Brett Wallace's bat.

NFG4M, I know you appreciate that one
