Hahahahaha. Oh by the way I was looking at the free agents and found this CF kid. Jorge Soler 19yr A potential and C overall. Looks like he has decent contact and power. I think I might sign this kid and see what happens. Anybody know anything about this kid?

he's a Cuban defector who was recently deemed a free agent by MLB...he's been linked mainly to the Cubs but others on here have stated they heard rumblings about the Astros and Phillies being involved in signing him....for a scouting report, u'd have to google him....either way he'd be an upgrade over Schafer any day

not bad...how much did u sign him for?...i did look at him in previous franchises but i thought that'd be unrealistic since he's probably gunna sign with another team IRL anyways

I gave him 1.5 mil for 3 years. I figured if all else fails he could be good trade bait or a nice kicker in a trade.

EDIT: he was pretty strict on the 1.5 and I looked at it the same way you did, as far as being an upgrade on Schafer. So will see how he pans out come the trade deadline

What's your sources for you knowledge on the MLB and all there players and everything. Just from reading a lot of your stuff on different post, you seem knowledgable on a lot of different players and farms systems and what not.

low-risk, high-reward....can't go wrong with that regarding Soler....i just watch a lot of sports and always keep an eye and ear out on everything that's going on...also, the people on OS are knowledgable and informative so i pick up things from the wonderful OS individuals ....and finally, the world-wide-web is the most informative tool out there considering i don't have the luxury of watching high school/college/pro games besides Mets or Yankees and the occassional out-of-region game on MLB Network/ESPN, i have to rely on the Internet to spew out stats, rankings, opinions, etc

Schafer is another bum that's rotting away in AAA....i gave him a long leash and how does he repay me? by hitting .198...tried benching him to clear his head and that didn't work so i had to demote him....signed Matsui at the end of May and i've never been happier

Hey whatever works ya know. He's only batting .206 for me right now. But I'm loving his speed in center. Plus I'm only 10 games in so for me it's to early to make big moves right now.

Whats your linup and bench look like?

for me, i'd sacrifice a little defense for a consistent bat

it's Altuve, Bogusevic, Martinez, Lee, Matsui, Downs, Castro, Johnson, and Pitcher against lefties and righties....bench consists of Scott Moore, Buck, Maxwell, Snyder, and Lowrie

Anybody still have Marwin Gonzalez in their lineup and notice that he struggles to hit left handed pitching?

For me in 16 games / He is hitting .341 vs RHP and .000 vs LHP / That's nuts.

Wandy just pitched an absolute GEM for me as I was able to pick up my 3rd win of the season beating Washington 1-0

IRL he's going to be signed for a contract around the 25 million dollar range.
