What are some big positions I need to focus hard on in scouting?

BOY BOY BOY WAS GAME ONE DRAMITIC.
Pulled off a huge win despite a couple mental errors on my part not the team.
To start off Wandy threw a hell of a game pitching 6.2 innings giving up 4 hits and 2 runs only one was Earned.
Rockies jumped in front early with a 1 nothing lead in the top of the second. Chris Johnson drives in Carlos lee from first on a double in the gap of this huge out field. Then Lowrie drives him in inalterable in the inning.
Both pitchers pitched flawless through innings 2-6.
Bottom of the 6th got runners on 1st and 3rd then Chris Johnson drops a 3 run bomb just right of the Crawford boxes.
Top of the seventh comes the error and the mental errors start to fly. Runner on third and two outs and (can't remember who) hit a shot off the leg of Wandy and Chris Johnson recovers to make the play at first and over throws Lee. Runner scores. 5-2
Had wright ready in the pin, before I went to bring him in, I went to stand up cruz but instead accidentally insert him into the game cold.
Cruz gets one out then I bring in the ready wright. He finishes the inning on the next two batters.
I go to being in the ready carpenter in the 8th and...... Yep did it again. Went to get Myers loose for the 9th and inserted him instead. (stupid me). He gets the first out then I bring in the ready Carpenter in the 8th with 1 out. He gets the job done. Ran him back out there with a 5-2 lead in the 9th and gets the first out then gives up a solo shot to hernandez. Next two batters get on and have a 1st and 3rd situation with one out.
Finally able to end the game when I bring in Lyon in the top of the 9th striking out the next two batters.
Astros win 5-3
This lineup is gonna kill me though because they virtually have no power lolComment

Lol yea a win is a win so I'll take it, but man It was getting stressful in the late innings with my mental mistakes. Chris Johnson seemed to have some pop but will see how far that goes. Other that, only power is like you said, JD and Carlos.
I'm gonna continue to play and my next update will probably be after game 5 when your best friend is on the bump lol. He took the 5th spot in the rotation for now. Will see how it goesComment

the only bright side is the park u play in...if u can get it halfway decently in the air to left, you're good for a double or better....the gaps really kill whatever power chances u have....so it's a safe bet to expect more doubles and triples then homers from the Astros....no offense, i hope Harrell gets absolutely tattooed so u'd be forced to demote (or even better release him!!!!!)

HAHAHAHAHAHA on the Harrell commentthe only bright side is the park u play in...if u can get it halfway decently in the air to left, you're good for a double or better....the gaps really kill whatever power chances u have....so it's a safe bet to expect more doubles and triples then homers from the Astros....no offense, i hope Harrell gets absolutely tattooed so u'd be forced to demote (or even better release him!!!!!)Comment

By the way I'm in game 2 right now and I think by you saying "I hope Harrell gets rocked" came a little to early as Bud Norris was phased by that statement. Through 3 innings I'm down 7-3 and Norris has been absolutely hammered for 7 runs on 8 hits lol as its been gorilla ball in game 2 so farComment

Well I'm getting my far share of hits. I just can't drive them in to save my life lol. By the way it's 10-3 now as Helton just dropped a 3 run bomb. Hopefully Bud has a better outing his next start. Let's see if I can make a come backComment

Well it was probably a bad idea but i was hoping to at least get 4 innings out of him but that didnt work lol.
Sergio Escalona is my long guy for now, im not 100% on the familiar with Houston Roster so imma give it a week or so before i figure out exactly where i want everybody. Whos your long man?
Sergio is holding up for now through 2 innings. Staying strong for now. I narrowed it to 10-4 and now in the 6th lol. gonna be a though comebackComment

i dont even want to talk about game 2 lol. Rockies came out and played Gorilla ball. final was 14-4. i could only squeeze 4 runs out of 12 hitsComment
