    Re: Da Astros

I'm currently trying to trade for my CF of the future, James Baldwin III from the LA Dodgers.

This is the trade I proposed over in the Arbitration Panel:

To: LA Dodgers GM & Assistant GM
    From: Houston Astros Organization
    Topic: Carlos Lee potential trade

    Greetings LA Dodgers,

We are responding to your interest of our player, Carlos Lee, when we placed him on the trading block.

As of today, June 14, you guys are in first place in your division but the Diamondbacks are only a half a game behind. We are currently in last place of our division.

You arent getting much production from your current 1B James Loney, hes batting .246 with 5 HR and 20 rbi, thus your interest in Carlos Lee.

Carlos is currently batting .306 with 10 HR and 38 rbi, hes also the league leader in doubles.

The 1 player we really want to be included in the potential package is your 20 y/o OF James Baldwin III (B potential). We would also like to receive one of your B potential pitchers (Withraw, Reed, and Eovaldi)

We would be willing to add more of our veteran players that would help you on your championship run as we are trying o rebuild for the future.

If you have anymore questions dont hesitate to ask.

Hope to hear back from you soon,

    ~Houston Astros

He is a REALLY athletic player who i think will develop into a star in Houston.

I was reading some of his scouting reports, and one of them said that Baldwin III has Kemp like athleticism and tools but that his one main problem is that he strikes out a little too much, if he can correct that he will be special.

        Pretty good return for Lee.

sounds good...just make sure u give him some time to marinate in the minors for a bit and if ur able to extract another prospect from LAD, not bad at all

If that move goes through, I might look into it my self if I'm out of it come the deadline

I'm glad that he went to the Cubbies, hopefully he isn't a $30M mistake.

I'm gonna sign Soler in my franchise and then trade him to the Cubs for one of their worst prospects to keep it realistic.

I can't remember where I saw this (maybe this thread), but someone said that Soler retired after the season bc of poor FA market.

Just wrapped up the series with St. Louis and pulled off the sweep. Game three was a nail biter as it went 12 innings and brad Snyder ended it by putting one in the Crawford boxes. bringing me to a 12-16 record and 4 games back of the division. Got the red hot marlins up next.

I'm really liking Happ right now. He's been a stud posting a 1.82ERA through 5 starts and 29.2 innings

Lyles is about to come off the DL and I'm really wanting to send Harrell down to make room, but it's gonna be a tough call between him and weiland.

Weiland in three starts is 0-2 6.43ERA in 14IP and 10SO
Harrell in five starts is 1-1 4.55ERA IN 31.2IP and 24SO

They will both get one more start before he comes off the DL, so I will evaluate and make a decision after.

I'm mostly sending him to the Cubs b/c i dont want a 19 y/o with A potential just floating around in the FA pool... besides it's a huge story, it would be almost impossible for me to ignore it.

In my franchise the Dbacks signed Oswalt before I could send him to Texas, not a big deal though since i'ts only for a year.
