true, which would make it a little more realistic. But there was also a issue last year were the free agent pool would end up full of young high overall guys i believe because of contract issues and nobody being able to afford them

Very nice, thanks. Does one have to authorize a signing as well or is it only the trades that we administrate?

I have a question about 30 team control. I'm currently using it now and I monitor the pending / trade proposal screen everyday (even though its only late May in my franchise).

In a CPU offer to CPU trade proposal, how long will the CPU proposal/offer show its self? Is it a one day its offered and the next day its decided on, type of thing? Or will an offer sit there for a few days or weeks before its decided on?

That was me, and no I have not noticed a lot of big name free agents on the wire (or available to sign during FA). At most there were a couple 'top guys' I tried to lockup and they just signed with another team which was usually the Yankees or their original team it seemed.. Nobody like a Pujols or Robinson Cano or anything. I haven't noticed any issues. I just looked at the FA pool the other day looking a bat from the bench and couldn't find anybody. I think the best free agent I've signed was Oviedo (closer from marlins) .. and I've noticed he is almost always a FA in year one (probably because they have another closer).

I've been lurking in here for like a week or so now...you guys have convinced me to start an Astros franchise. Any tips for the new guy for season 1? Other than the obvious that I'm gonna be getting pounded of course lol.

I know it is, I'm just kinda new to The Show since I just borrowed my brother's PS3 in exchange for my 360 for a bit (he wanted to play more xbox stuff and I wanted the Show haha.) Going from 2K's decent game, to baseball amazingness in the Show is literally the best part of my day haha. But that's why I figure I'll be getting beat up on a little.

But tips wise, I was just wondering about who to play early on...I mean obviously I should avoid Harrell  but because this is a rebuilding project I feel I should probably leave most of the prospects in AAA or AA for now to develop, which leaves me with a roster I'm not super familiar with (being a Tigers fan and all.) But I've done the Tigers thing haha and I want a challenge.

best choice u ever made in exchanging the 360 for PS3....even if it's just for a little while........and im starting to like u already with the Harrell comment lol.....but seriously...play some spring training games to get a feel of the Astros....in my eyes, there's position battles and roster spots to be filled, namely 3B(with Johnson and Paredes) CF (with Schafer and Maxwell), RF(between Bogey and Buck)....outside of Wandy, Norris, and Happ, the 4th and 5th starter jobs will be up for grabs as well as the long reliever job and parts of middle relief...im more then positive u will receive a challenge
