Thanks. Hopefully it all pans out. I want to sim this year so I can get into next year. But currently am only 3 games back in the division and 2 games back in the wildcard. So while I'm still in this thing I will be playing it out

So im starting to scout for next year, and I notice that the players that got drafted are still in the scouting list. So I can't tell who not to scout, because it would be pointless to scout someone already drafted

scout all 17-year olds as they'll be eligible to be drafted next year

            Re: Da Astros

So, after long negotiations with the LA Dodgers representative in the OS Official Arbitration Panel we have agreed on a deal .

This is what it looks like:

            Dodgers get:
            -1B Carlos Lee (.310 avg/10 HR/39 rbi/.528 slg%)
            -1B Telvin Nash (21 y/o B potential)

            Astros get:
-CF James Baldwin III (20 y/o B potential)
            -SP Chris Withrow (22 y/o B potential)
            -RP Ethan Martin (22 y/o C potential)

I love this trade from my side. With Baldwin III we get a freakish athlete who will be our CF of the future who could bat 1 or 2. A SP with a power arm (can get it up to 98 mph) in Withrow who can challenge Cosart for best SP prospect. And Martin, a power arm RP who was the first HS pitcher to be selected in '08, who could be a great piece in the bullpen or even be converted back to SP.

Definitely excited about this trade .

            What do you guys think?

Looks like a solid trade to me and some great pieces to move forward with in the process of rebuilding.

I might look into this trade as well if I get out the hunt. But right now I'm holding strong in the division and the wildcard. So Lee isn't going anywhere for the time being

@NYYankees42....looks solid on paper..resembles what i got back for Lee when i traded him in previous franchises....Astros are lacking in quality arms so to get 2 back is pretty sweet and i know your high on Baldwin so u should be happy!

Yeah it's kinda sad to let Lee go, he has basically been my whole offense, but being that we are so out of it, it had to be done. Especially since hes 35 and will be a FA after this season.

I'm just happy that he has had a great year so far, giving me a great package of prospects in return in the trade.

                    Yessir... I love Baldwin.

I had to let Nash go in order to get the 2 arms back but considering that Singleton has that spot covered for the next 15 years, he was expandable.

was a no-brainer to send him on his merrily way

if Singleton can man 1st for 1B for anywhere near 15 years, i'll be doin cartwheels...not to say he can't but u never know....i never entertained the idea of trading Nash since he has the ability to play the OF....maybe u just gave me something to think about....

Hah i hope that i didnt jinx singleton by sayying that, but at least i hope hee perform for me starting next year and if so i will give him a nice long term deal.

I never thought of nash as a trading piece either until the dodgers rep mentioned he wanted a prospect at first. Since im set in the outfield with JD Springer Santana and now Baldwin i didnt see him fitting in there.

Wow.. I don't know how I missed that Nash could play outfield. I think he may receive a chance in the bigs soon now that I realize that lol. He has been tearing it up in AAA for me.
