i definetly will be taking a look at Colby Rasmus, Denard Span, Marlon Byrd, Jeff Francouer to a lesser extent.....i could also use a rental catcher for a year but nobody is appealing

Never thought of Rasmus. But do you think he has the speed to cover center in MMP or would you stick him in right?

he has more then enough speed to cover CF at MMP...i was SPECIFICALLY targeting speedy CF's cause of slow-as-molasses Matsui in LF and not-a-speedster in RF in Martinez

Yea and bogusevic isn't cutting it for me. He's being a bum. Brad Snyder is holding down RF travis Buck is being good off the bench for me. So I'm targeting CF for sure. Will keep Rasmus in mind as I shop around and see if there's anybody else I can find

How bout a guy like Ramon Hernandez from the rockies... he has a good bat and could be a rental (unless the rockies are actually contending)

Well the Rockies are 8 games back in the division and 6.5 back in wild card. Wouldn't say there out of it just yet as its still early, but they have a lot of work to do. The blue jays are tied for the division right now, so I don't think bringing in Rasmus would be that realistic.

I didn't now you where shopping for a catcher too, I was directing it NFGFM bc he stated that he needed a rental catcher... but with the rockies having to contend with LA Arizona and SF I can definitely see them being sellers eventually, their pitching staff just isnt good enough to keep up with those teams.

Also i dont see the Jays trading Rasmus if their contending, especially since they traded for him last year.

In my chise they are well out of it since LA and Arizona have been 2 of the best teams in baseball.

i don't *need* a rental catcher...if there was one that REALLY stood out, then yes i'd make a move...but nobody is worth going after on non-contending teams so i think i'll just stick with what i have for right now

What about Ryan Hannigan? He does everything pretty well, but since the Reds have Messoraco, he could definitely be dealt. Ot sure whe reds are in your chise, just throwing out another idea. Wishing you luck man!

(Also, could you check my last post in trade discussion thread?)

I really like Castro for the future, mainly bc of his arm behind the plate, he has been so good at throwing out batters for me. Eventhough he didnt get off to a great start he has been hot these past few days and now has his avg in the .240s.
