JD for Soriano? Yikes, you are the perfect Astros manager! JK, JD should be a non-starter in any trade negotiation. JD is your #3 guy in the line-up for years to come
Thanks for helping out, I'll help if I can. Have a good day :)

I've not hit a homerun with Martinez. I don't think I've even hit a ball hard with him.

              Re: Da Astros

I'm just not meant to win against the Marlins. Currently playing game 2 of the series and I've already had a few moments. 1st batter of the game for me crushed one all the way to the wall that was caught. Then in the 2nd inning I had a runner at 3rd with 2 outs and ripped one down the line that Ramirez makes a diving stop on and throws me out. (Pretty damn funny that it's the first time on this year's game that I've seen a dive at 1st or 3rd base). Then in the 3rd inning I had runners at 1st and 2nd with 1 out and I hit a little chopper between the Nolasco and Infante and Sanchez. Infante gets the ball throws to 2nd for the force out but the return throw to 1st goes over Ricky Nolasco's head (he was covering 1st) but so I think I can steal a run. Wrong. The ball hits the railing and comes straight back to Nolasco who nails my runner at home.

I'm getting hits I just can't score. I had 13 hits in that 15 inning game but something always happens to keep me from scoring.

EDIT: I should be thrilled that I just scored a run! I got a leadoff double, single then sac fly but disappointed that with 2 outs and runner at 3rd I hit a liner that was caught in RF.

I must say I have yet to see this new quicker animation for fielding. I've given up 2 infield hits today because my pitcher will field the ball and then keep running for 3 or 4 steps before stopping to throw the ball even though I'm hitting the throw button before he fields it.

What kind of batting style do you guys use?

I use Pure Analog, and I was hitting .067 with JD for about 8 games into my season. Hell, I actually benched him because I couldn't hit with him at all. Then I figured out that you have take his load step earlier than normal. Ever since then I've been hitting the ball solid with him pretty much every time.

I'm gone back and forth between timing and pure analog.

I just won my game 2-1 over the Marlins.

i decided to keep Martinez and wat ya kno, he banged out a couple of hr's the past few games....slowly but surely he's picking it up by showing some life at the plate......even tho he's still only hitting .206, he just looks more comfy and rewarding my patience in him

Martinez bat isn't bad at all. I think he is just a slow starter at the plate. How do your pen look? How is Castro playing?

my pen gets the job done for the most part although its been allowing late-inning runs quite a bit lately...Castro's picking it up in AAA
