Huge mental error by CJ (me haha) at 3B adds up to my started hatred since hes cold at the dish.

Lyles pitched 3 great innings in his first start allowing a single run on 2 hits with 2 K's. actually leaning Wandy 1, Norris 2, Lyles 3, Happ 4 and Weiland 5. Lyles needs to pitch really bad for me to have to start in AAA. He'll be my rep at the ASG in KC

that was my opening day rotation (although i flip-flopped Happ and Lyles since i didnt want Lyles having too much pressure on him) but Weiland has underperformed and it's been a revolving door at the 5th-starter spot....i promoted the Astros #1 pitching prospect Jarred Cosart since he was doin very well for AAA...hopefully he can lock down that spot

I will for sure. Guess I gotta learn how to hit with him. Lay off the homer happy swings on fastballs in and find a better approach.

Yeah I'm worrying about the 5th spot so Livan, Colon, Cook, Millwod would provide stability. Need to purchase the contract of Cosart and add him to the 40-man roster but figured I'd start him in AAA like you mentioned and then promote him as soon as I need a starter.

out of all those choices, i'd go with Colon...he's old reliable as far as im concerned lol...and yeah im expectin big things from Cosart....let him establish himself before u bring him up tho...dont wanna expose him when he's not ready plus u have a couple of options in AAA like Sosa if u need

Thinking swingman for Sosa as he's been decent in spring so far. Worst thing about Colon is his 3 million a year but I guess that's fair for someone with his resume (CY winner) and like you said, he's reliable.

if Colon can pitch in the game like he's pitching IRL, he's well worth 3M....Also i'd take a look at more young guys in the Astros farm system like Folty(i forgot how to spell the rest of his last name), Oberholtzer, and Clemens...the latter 2 have a real-life ETA of this year or next so if they're overperforming in the minors, dont hesitate to promote them

Clemens was so-so his first outing but ill probably start him in Oklahoma. I'll look at Wolty and Oberholtzer as well, thanks

Was thinking about Freddy Garcia as well. Many options for 1 spot haha

Offense is really mixed. There's some obvious holes in the lineup and as you know, it wouldn't hurt to upgrade every position. Schafer just smacked a 3-run shot and he's fitting in nicely as my leadoff hitter. Shuck will play CF for Oklahoma. Gonna try and see if I can pick up a nice bat off the bench after spring training cuz I need some more pinch hittin pop.

Also, been trying that Castro/Snyder tandem out but still feel like I should acquire native Texan Taylor Teagarden from the O's like I mentioned in a previous post

Need some real speed off the bench. We'll see if someone steps up during spring or I'll shop the fa pool for someone like Felix Pie

i rather have Harrell in my rotation then Freddy Garcia lol...Garcia is done...as far as your pinch-hitting goes, lemme know how Matt Downs works out for ya...he's been enormously productive for me off the bench...Also i acquired David Ross from the Braves as my backup catcher....but other then that, my bench is pretty weak as well.....really pleased with the progress Singleton, Snyder, and Wates are making in AAA as well as DeShields and Nash in AA hitting-wise
