Re: Da Astros
i have high hopes for my overall #1 pick to supplant Johnson at 3B eventually....also drafted 4 other position prospects to battle for jobs whenever they're ready so there are bats....im not even thinkin of the WS to be honest....the playoffs are the first step in making progressSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: Da Astros
BRAVES
8 games back in the division and 7.5 in the wild card. I dont really classify this team out of it even though theres alot of work to be done. i think they still have time to make a run. If i did go to them for a trade, I really like Mycal Jones 25 yr old B POT C OVR CF only batting .238 with 5HR and 16RBI i really think he can progress really well and shouldnt cost that much i dont believe. But not sure if hes MLB ready. Also Like Christian Bethancourt 20 yr old C B POT C OVR .293 2HR 5RBI to challange Castro behind the plate in a year or two.
CUBS
9.5 back in division 7.5 in wild card. I really like Brett Jackson 23 yr old CF A POT C OVR .327 11HR 45RBI, but i think he would cost a little to much for a team competing as he looks to be there starting CF for years to come.
Pirates are out of it but no one looks appealing
Tampa Bay
They are not out of it by no means but BJ Upton i think will be staying there for years (in this game) and Mikie Mahtook looks appealing but not for Center, I would move him to Right. Hes a 22 yr old CF posting a .382 average with only 1HR and 3RBI. I think i could get him at a decent price. B POT D OVR
Toronto is in the hunt Colby is going nowhere
Detroit is also in the running but they have Austin Jackson patrolling center. Im looking at their 21 yr old CF B POT C OVR hes in there AAA roster but has no stats to go by. according to attributes he doesnt look to bad and has decent speed
Twins are 17.5 back in division and 14 in wild card. Looking at Aaron Hicks 22 yr old CF B POT C OVR .343 2HR 15RBI
Angels are in the hunt and lets face it Trout isnt going anywhere. Peter Bourjos looks appealing although he post a .232 AVG 4HR 30RBI. B POT C OVR
This is what i have came across so far and havent really looked into third baseman yet as chris johnson is still producing but starting to cool down. I might make a move for third closer to the deadline when things play out more. Also these are just ideas and players im interested in. Not sure if im actually gonna make any moves yet.
Sorry for dragging this post outComment

Span is batting .293/.373/.384 2HR 14RBI.
looking at these two I'd go with Span. He has a three year contract and that can play in my favor as it gives my CF prospects more time to develop and he has above average speed.
I didn't even think of these 2 guysComment

What's a good starting point for Span and possibly Travis Harrison 19yr old 3B C POT D OVR. I might take this to the arbitration panel.Comment

Re: Da Astros
I'm not really worried about power out of CF. span produces great speed and has decent to good contact. I think he's a big upgrade over Schafer and he's looked up for 3 years allowing my prospects more time to progress. He's only 28 and after his 3 year contract I should have a CF player ready to take over and I can let him walk or maybe trade down the road.

Re: Da Astros
although Martinez is listed as a B pot, he's not....i'd substitute him for a better prospect...remember if Span is locked in for 3 more years, the Twins have more leverageSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment
