The much anticipated start of Denard Span.

Span had some pretty good at bats as all 4 plate appearances he hit the ball hard but unfortunate that they were hit straight to somebody. But his speed is amazing as he chased down a fly ball on the hill in deep center, that I honestly don't think Schafer could have got to.

But we was able to pick up a close 2-1 win over the royals as Happ pitched 7.2 innings of shut out ball with 4 stike outs dropping his ERA to 1.63. Rodriguez came in for the save in the 9th only to give up a solo shot on the first pitch. The next batter reached on a single before Rodriguez was able to get the double play ground ball then later on getting the third out and the save.

We improve to 36-32 on the year and closed the gap in the division to 2 games. Currently 3 back in the wild card though.

        Re: Da Astros

Just played my first game of the post-Lee era and I lost 5-2 with Bud going 6 innings and allowing 4 runs, and Hochevar pitching 8.2 and allowing 2 runs.

This was my lineup (Lowrie and Bogusevic rested):

        1. 2B Jimmy Paredes 1-4 1 SB (fresh off the DL)
        2. CF Schaffer 1-4
        3. LF JD Mar 2-4 1 SB
        4. 3B C Johnson 2-4 1 double
        5. C Castro 0-4
        6. 1B Moore 1-4 2 run HR (1st career HR)
        7. SS MarGo 1-4
        8. RF Buck 0-4

Overall not bad, the problem was that a lot of my hits where singles and I couldnt get hits with RISP. Moore's HR came in the 9th inning and didnt allow Hochevar to complete his shutout.

Speaking of Paredes, I want so bad to call him up since he's raking in AAA. But nowhere to put him. But Chris Johnson is starting to slump.

Can Paredes play third? Calling him up would also force me to send Downs down but I'm not sure if I want to make that move.

Ohh yeahh!! I love Paredes, he used to be a Yankee before he left on the Berkman deal. He has good contact, speed, and is a switch hitter, plus now that Altuve is on the 60 day DL he should get alot of playing time (SMH how Paredes gets off the DL as Altuve goes to it). He hit the ball hard his 4 ABs but only got 1 hit, I'm excited to see how he performs the rest of the season.

In the latest roster update The Show has Paredes listed as a 3B.

if that bum Johnson wasn't showing signs at the plate, Paredes woulda been recalled...he's probably not doing as well in my franchise as in yours, but he's been steady

Not sure of his stats. Not home right now. If Johnson don't heat up Paredes is getting the phone call

Yea but I really don't want to send Matt downs down, but that would be my only option
