Re: Da Astros
not sure, theres not really much in free agency, and with so many people getting hurt im not sure how wise it would be to make a trade. But i could bring in a 3rd baseman so i can shift Downs to 2nd until Altuve or Paredes gets back.Comment

Re: Da Astros
What do you think about signing Miguel Tejada. He can cover 2nd then when Altuve comes back i can shift him to third.
EDIT: i dont kno now, he wants a 3 to 5 year deal. hes 37, i only need him for the rest of this yearComment

Re: Da Astros
of course not, theres no way in hell i would give him more then a 1-year deal. Im just kinda iffy on trading away prospects right now being that im in the situation im in with everybody hitting the DLComment

Re: Da Astros
there's nothing unrealistic about trading a low-level prospect for a veteran backup IF...nobody said u had to give up Cosart or Singleton lolSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: Da Astros
Haha nice catch there.... well what do you have in mind possibly. Matt Downs is swinging a hot bat right now, so hes staying in the lineup, hes at 3rd right now but can shift him to 2nd if need be. Just not sure who to go after here.

Re: Da Astros
Don't mean to jump in here, but I've enjoyed following everyone who's playing with the Astros. I have a franchise going with the Pirates and Mariners, so if you're looking for a short-term infielder, I could offer a few suggestions.
Seattle
Chone Figgins - He can play multiple positions and has great speed and solid defense, he should also be very easy to get, Seattle is pretty much ready to give him away
Luis Rodriguez - Vet without much to offer, worth maybe a low D
Pirates
Casey McGehee - Hasn't been too bad for me in part-time action, has a fairly solid bat, could hold down 3B for a while
Jake Fox - Can play some 3B, doesn't offer much except for some power, should be quite cheap
Jordy Mercer - All I know is that I raked with this guy in Spring Training, I think he can play 2B/SS/3B, may be worth a look, he's been injured most of the year for me but can handle the bat a bit when healthy
Matt Hague - Not in front of my PS3, but I think he can play some 3B, may have a bit of pop but not positive he's ready for majors yetLast edited by sink4ever; 06-18-2012, 01:50 PM.Comment
