I finally got around to recording a video of me trying to create a freeze. Still no luck. Is there any other scenario(s) that I could try, that anyone who is experiencing freezing may be doing?

I'm really wondering if the fact that you went from pre-patch to post-patch using a mid-game save somehow gave you immunity from the freezing issues? Maybe the way the game saves schedule/core franchise data is different in a mid-game save than in a direct franchise save?

That's the only variable I can possibly think of that is different for you...
