You'd have to download the patch, download the roster, then delete the patch, unless you had a way to obtain the roster file without downloading them through the vault.

I'm at April 29th in my franchise and have not downloaded the patch. Is this patch worth downloading or should I just keeping playing without it?

* If you have a save file that is past May 1st then you should also not
encounter these issues.

i am starting to feel bad for all the guys who worked on this game, because last year everything went so smoothly with the patch, this year, not so much, but i give tons of credit for everyone trying to figure it out, thanks guys!!, it might take a bit but i have faith that they will get this right.

I have a question. I downloaded the patch the day it came out and was in early may so I thought I was good to go. But I read about people having some problems even though they were after May. I deleted the patch and decided to start back with a PRE-patch save. Should I be good to go?

5-8 with my Astros and I started my franchise before the patch. Updated with the patch and simulated to about the all-star break (to see if I have to start over or not) and NO freezing or mishaps.

I'm going to continue playing until something happens. For the love of god I HOPE nothing happens.

You won't get any problems. Only save files that were updated after the patch was installed will be corrupted!
