Thank you for the update Russell. I believe keeping people informed on what is going on and the fact that you are aware of the issue and working on it goes a long way in keeping the threads unclogged. Appreciate the info, hopefully a fix will be out soon.

Sounds like you are okay to do anything you want.

This is simply not true for everyone. I have seen this posted several times and this may work for the majority of the people having freezing issues but as I and others I have seen, the freezing issues happen when starting a new franchise as well.

I never once had a freeze before the patch, don't get them when looking at the schedule, but every game i have played out in franchise as well as season mode have hung up after the game is over.

I played probably 20 games out and never had an issue with this before the patch came out. I understand things come up and I'm not swearing off the game, but I see people put up solutions and then the developer of the game basically cut and paste the same solutions and tell me that my franchise should work and it doesn't.

The most frustrating part is not even that it's not fixed yet, the most frustrating part is that it's like because I'm not having the same issues as the majority then my issues are being ignored.

I have to agree with @FunkeyMonkey: I do have massive freezing problems when clicking on a game in the schedule. When I installed the patch I was already playing games in May! It doesn't matter if I want to simulate a game or start it in order to play it - the game(s) just keep(s) freezing in the schedule! And it freezes plenty! I play a 30-team season and I really hope this major bug gets fixed because bugs like this one are extremely annoying, simply because it cropped up via patch that normally should fix things instead of causing new trouble. And that freezing bug is a major bug!

Would be nice to read a statement from Ramone or anybody else from SCEA about that...

That's a huge bummer. I thought it was all sorted out. It's weird because I have (knock on wood) had not one freezing issue and I am playing the same franchise that I started with when the OSFM rosters were released. I downloaded the patch the day it came out, as well. I've maybe played 7 games and have had no problem.

SCEA says this only affects seasons, RTTS and franchises. This information is inaccurate. I did not have any freezing issues before the patch, now I can not even play an exhibition game or batting practice without the game freezing. I have uninstalled the patch, deleted ALL of my seasons and franchises, deleted the 10 GB save and then reinstalled the patch, IT DID NOT WORK!! Could it be possible that the patch infected my PS3 HDD somehow?
By the way, I even tried playing without the patch and it still froze.

A patch that screws up a game is something refreshingly new...

I just wish someone could tell me why some people that have just recently started a franchise are running into freeze issues, that tells me there is something else......I am not mad, I understand there is alot more behind the scenes to problems then i could not fix myself, but just tell us a ETA and what you are doing to fix it?

No, I wouldn't worry about that. That patch is just not working the way it should. Your PS3 is okay, the patch isn't!

Do you guys all sign into PSN when you play? The only time i signed into PSN was to download the OSFM. Other than that, I never sign into PSN and I have no freezing issues pre patch or post patch. And I'm using the same franchise. I read something somewhere that signing into PSN might have something to do with the freezing issues. I'm not really sure if that is the case anymore.

Same here, no problems at all.

It is definitely hard to pinpoint what is going on... I think 30-team control may have something to do with it too, since that basically makes one of the trouble teams, "your team". I use single team control and I haven't had any issues, even when I tried to do things that I thought would cause it to freeze. I will try (if time permits) to record a video of me attempting to create a freeze. One other thing with me is, my 1st game after the patch, in my pre-existing franchise was a game that was already in progress. So maybe all the other games were "in progress" too and not effected by any schedule time changes for that day (4/14) - I'm not on 4/22, after playing every game up to now. After the patch issues surfaced, I simmed into May without saving, and try to invoke a freeze but still nothing. I'm not sure if I attempted to look at any boxscores from the 4 "trouble" teams tho. I guess I will try that tonight.

@SCEA: Please leave a message if you're trying to solve the problem for gamers like me who were already playing season games in May(!) or at a later date before installing the patch. I can't sim games till May 1st because I'm already mid-May and yet the game keeps freezing when trying to simulate or play a game! Thanks...

Haha, I love the "or else" demands. Everyone shouod just relax and wait for the solution. They have always dealt with the problems in the past, why would this time be any different? Just give them time

I thought it would freeze when not being signed into PSN. Geez, I don't know. Maybe I confuse something here. I will try it now without being signed into PSN. Anyway...this is absolutely frustrating!

I'm always signed in. I haven't encountered any freezing issues, before or after the patch.
