To Boston GM (21-18; 1 GB NYY, tied with Tampa Bay)

We are inquiring about Jacoby Ellsbury? What kind of price tag does he carry?

Duda? .279 avg, 34 H, 4 HR, 18 RBI

To Marlins GM (23-16; tied with Was for 1st)

You get the last message about we couldn't do Duda currently? Did you have any other ideas? Would you do Santana for Zambrano straight up? Or Santana/Thole for Zambrano/Buck? We still have high interest and hopes of bringing Carlos to NY.

To: All GM's
From: Dodgers
As of tomorrow morning I will be going on vacation until around the 29th. There is another Dodgers rep on these boards but I haven't seen him in this thread in a while. I will be extremely happy to answer any and all of your trade questions or requests when I return. It would be easier for you to just PM them to me so I can find them easily when I come back. Thanks!

From: Astros
Topic: Carlos Lee Trade
Telvin Nash plays 1B, LF, CF, RF
OK so after looking at your farm system we have come across a C prospect that we like named Ethan Martin, he is 22 y/o and his stats so far in AA are 1-3/3.06 ERA/3 saves/61 K/53 IP.
So this would be our proposal:
Dodgers get:
-1B Carlos Lee (.310 avg/10 HR/39 rbi/.528 slg%)
-1B Telvin Nash (21 y/o B potential)
Astros get:
-CF James Baldwin III (20 y/o B potential)
-SP Chris Withrow (22 y/o B potential)
-RP Ethan Martin (22 y/o C potential)
For our organization this trade looks very fair and we hope you agree.
We will be anxiously awaiting your response.

This trade gives us a nice addition to our lineup with Lee plus a possible future starting 1B in Nash. The Dodgers organization will accept this offer.

Topic: Carlos Lee Trade
It has been a pleasure doing business with you. We are ecstatic to add talents like Baldwin III, Withrow, and Martin to our farm system.
We know you guys have World Series aspirations for this year, and adding Carlos to an already devastating lineup, will surely help you get there.
Good luck with the rest of your season.
Sincerely,
~The Houston AstrosBIG BLUE ALL IN!!!

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
Not really, the to from and topic are usually bolded though... The Rep might be busy or just not seen your post... What I usually do is PM the rep/s and tell them what page i have posted my trade proposal or inquiry in... Also you can just bump it being that it was so long ago and you havent gotten a response.BIG BLUE ALL IN!!!

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
One idea that we could do is on the first page next to the gm/***. Gms name, have their psn name. That way we can avoid things like this. We could just send them a message saying to check the arbitration panel, that way they'd know about it sooner!Comment

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
I'll take whoever you want off your hands, not an issue. Anderson could play a lot of places, five tool guy. I have a VERY crowded outfield, by the way. Thames won't be converted to 2B in real life, but he played it pretty decently in college. I've converted him there before, worked out well. So here's what we could he looking at;
Nicolino
Smith, Jr.
Anderson/Thames
For
Garza
Whoever you want to get rid of besides Dempster (love him, but my rotation is going to be PACKED.)
Does anyone really care where I sent this from?
Jays Send:
Nicolino
Anderson
Smith, Jr. or one of the other pitchers
for
Cubs Send:
Garza
Player to be named later
Only things to be determined are: the player to be named will be a 29+ vet with some service time, not on our 40 man, with a salary too large to justify keeping him (in the upper 6 figures, so it won't be a burden for you, even if you straight up release him); I'm thinking Amezega, but I need to check the rosters when I return to the "office" (ps3) tomorrow, to make sure that's the best fit; then, I want Smith, I like Smith, but this is not MY Cubs dynasty (though, it's got me thinking; I might be talking to you about Smith later if I can't figure out who else to put in CF...); starting from beginning 2012, getting Nicolino (what is he, 2 years away?) and Anderson (2-3 years away?), and giving up Garza, the Cubs might need a more ML-ready SP to essentially, not replace Garza, but replace whoever replaces Garza (R. Wells, T. Wood, T. McNutt); but then, as I see all those names, I remember the Cubs do have a few to fill in. So, we have an agreement in principle, with only the above mentioned details to work out; we should be able to finalize a deal by Friday, once I've looked everything over and fully weighed the options. I think the Cubs would benefit from this (Nicolino could end up in the rotation down the line, and Anderson could be any number of things), and really, Garza will be kind of wasted in a long-term rebuilding process, so I can say it's plausible to part with him. If this works for you, let's get back in touch within 24-48 hours and make it final. Great negotiating with you!Comment
