Re: A trade acceptance/rejection thread idea

Well, I think we might want to limit people to one franchise to avoid "conflicts of interest".. but.. at the same time the initial interest level seems to have declined as well.

I dunno, I was just helping put teams "on the board" -- but this is a great idea. I'll update the list a little later and will get you added, derelict

Yeah, i meant to make it an or... or... or... situation, not and... and... and. I can be flexible, essentially get to know a team I don't yet know (or know well) if that would help. Could be a good tool, seems worth doing.

I'll do the Diamondbacks. I know that organization very well and can provide a fairly unbiased opinion since they aren't my primary team.

I would love to be a part of this. Currently I'm running a co-franchise with the Royals and Nats, and since I'm a diehard Mets fan (you just got to bereave) I would be a schude man there and being from San Diego native I'd understand how to sell every good player they ever get for a couple of bats and a bag o balls. So in other words sign me up for any or all of those teams and I'd love to do it!

I'll be updating the list after I get home from work tonight... if any of you are listed with multiple franchises, please state which one you want to represent as a preference. Thanks for all the interest.

If someone is doing the Red Sox, I hope it is ok if I ask this question. I'm the pirates in my franchise and they are willing to trade Xander Bogaerts for Garrett Jones. How does that sound?

I wouldn't mind a small role with the Tigers.
                Detroit Tigers
                Michigan State Spartans
                Detroit Red Wings
                Detroit Lions
                Yale Bulldogs
                Detroit Pistons

Red Sox would never do that. Even with a banged up OF we are better without Jones and Bogaerts is one of our top prospects. Sorry but no way i would do that in my franchise or it happens in real life.

Re: A trade acceptance/rejection thread idea

As far as picking a team out of the ones I listed and to be a team player in this project I would do any of the that need someone, and if they all do I would say my no.1 choice would be KC since they aren't my homer team and thus I could be more objective with them follow by the Nats then the padres, with the Mets being last since they're my team and I night be a little bias there.

Re: A trade acceptance/rejection thread idea

I'm glad people are pretty responsive. I'll update the first post with team reps, and if pokerplayer lays down some ground rules I'll gladly add those too.

As far as home-town bias I wouldn't really worry about that because the person who is providing feedback isn't actually making the trade.

                      I'll partake in the Brewers.

EDIT: This could be a dynamic thing too which might be fun. Say I find I keep getting more and more talent offered for Grienke, maybe some people down the road may have to give up more than earlier on.

I'm playing as the Blue jays and I want to trade Jose Bautista to the Dodgers. What would be a fair return for me using mostly mlb players?

It would probably be best if you asked this in the trade discussion thread

It is absolutely OK to start asking the representatives of the Red Sox for their opinion on how they would proceed during this negotiation. Thanks for stopping by!

I replied to your email, Pete and am hopeful you aren't looking at my initiative compiling the list as "stealing your thunder." I didn't get that impression from your message, but I was just trying to help, so thank you for offering to update the first page and also get involved with a team. I think you had a great idea, I just wanted to make sure it didn't fall down the page, or even worse get closed because it "wasn't different" than the trade discussion thread. Especially once we fill all slots, this will be MUCH different from the normal Trade Discussion thread...

With that said, I did say that I would be updating the list of GMs when I got home from work tonight, and while I'm a little late, here I am. I will update the previous list I'd made to be thorough for new people to the thread, and I will post a new list at the end of the thread so you know the most current.

Thanks again! And I saw you wanted to be involved with Milwaukee, so I'll be adding you now!
