The Yankees would love to acquire a player of Bourn's caliber, he can fit right into our leadoff spot and add some much needed speed and youth to the lineup.

The package we would send on a deal for Bourn will really depend on our current situation.
Could you please tell me the following:
-Our record and place in the standings
-Gardner and Swisher performance so far

When u get back to me with that info we can put together a deal.

    Sincerely,
    ~ Brian Cashman
This is essentially what needs to be posted each time for "trading block" posts. I envision taking a look across the leagues to see which teams could use the potential player being traded.

    IE: Micheal Bourn.

Which teams are possibly making a playoff push. I would assume only those teams would be interested, considering Bourn is possibly just a rental.
Which of these teams are in need of CF help? Do they have guys in AAA ready for next year and just need a rental? Injuries or struggling young players?
Stats for player (in this case bourn)

Posting things like this in original request will probably help speed up answers... As it will narrow down the search for GM's. Also, I know for myself... I might even prefer just an answer such as 1A and 2B's .. (and so on) .. That way I could make decisions on what I need and what teams can afford to give away based on their farm situation..

Anyone else agree or think maybe the "trading block" feature should be handled differently?? Thinking out-loud here to help the community. For me, this seems like it will be helpful as I approach the dog days of summer in my franchise.

      TO:New york yankees
      FROM:Atlanta Braves
      SUBJECT: Bourn trade

We feel like Andrew Jones could help us with our playoff push, and we understand that Bourn is not playing at his potential.

with that said were trying to aquire somebody that is not just a rental, although if the deal is right we would deffiantly take a rental. If we aquire a thirdbaseman we would like to bring in somebody that is MLB ready and a long term fix possibly.

we just dont feel like we are on the same page here, and im sorry but i can't make this trade.

we will see if there is a reasonable deal we can come up with, but in the meantime if there are anymore proposals you have feel free to shoot them our way.

      Thanks

You should include the teams that would be interested in making a trade for those players in your chise. Include their standing and situation.

This will just help each GM decide if they would make a move for one of your guys .

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012

Just to try and make some of the individual posts and back and forth discussions a little more easier to pick out, would it be possible to utilize some form of color system to make the teams stand out?

Something like the colors I did below or even if people happen to have time, some small thumbnail sized logos for each team. If someone had the time to find and host like 150x150 sized logos for each team that everyone could then just copy and paste into each post to help things stand out, that would be great to help keep things a little organized as this goes. The colors below will be duplicate for a number of teams, but will get the general idea across.

Here is everything you have asked for.
              Blue Jays are 28-34
              Red Sox are 32-31
              Alvarez is 7-4, 57 K, 3.96 ERA, 79 IP, 12 GS, 9 HR given up
Youk is .295/.404/.453 4 HR, 23 RBI in 37 games
              Buchholz is 3-2, 55 K, 4.56 ERA, 77 IP, 13 GS, 14 HR given up
              To Red Sox GM
              From Blue Jays GM
Subject: Kevin Youkilis on the block

              Thank you very much. We'll take Youkilis' contract off your hands if you give us Buchholz. Here is my formal proposal;

              Henderson Alvarez
              Luis Perez
              Adonys Cardona

              FOR

              Clay Buchholz
              Kevin Youkilis

As a team more or less out of the playoff races, you can understand our wearyness to take on a contract as large as Mr. Youkilis'. However, I think I have come up with a proposal that suits both our needs. Henderson Alvarez is the epitome of consistency, and has performed very formidably. You'll love him. Luis Perez will give your bullpen some consistency. Adonys Cardona is the sweetener in this deal. He's a very young, projectable pitcher who we think should be good. We are taking a large contract back, but getting a player who hasn't played to his potential, which is a fairly high one, in Clay Buchholz.

Thank you for your time, and I sincerely hope you accept.

P.S. could someone please tell me how to bold? I have no clue haha

The Boston Red Sox gladly accept this offer, Youkilis just has no room here in Boston with Middlebrooks up now and Buchholz has been inconsistent all year long but both are very solid players.

Wow, I tried that that. Didn't work. Anyways, great negotiated with you. Youk can play first if Lind is sucking (which he probably is), and Buchholz has the potential to be a stud. Have a great day/franchise!

Hello there! I am calling to inquire on the price of young slugger Mike Stanton. I like his power, not so much his strikeouts rate. We have a top rated farm system, and we're willing to dip into it.

As a tentative offer, how about J.P. Arencibia (B/A), Aaron Sanchez (C/B), and Adonys Cardona (D/B). J.P is a high quality slugger and has much improved his defence. Aaron Sanchez is a high-round draft pick that's very projectable. Big guy, powerful stuff with plus command. Adonys Cardona is a guy we signed out of the international pool at only 16, and he's now 18. He's young, got a good fastball, and he's projectable. Projectable is a word we use a lot around here. The way I see it, you're gonna need to make room for Christian Yelich. We need a bat. And we're willing to pay big.

                    Signed,
GM of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Teams interested in bourn are Toronto and and the rays.

Teams interested in jurjens are the athletics and the Indians I believe.

We are looking to acquire 1B Kendrys Morales before spring training ends. What would you consider for him? We were thinking of giving up catcher George Kottaras to help you with your deficiency at catcher and one of our bottom of the rotation pitchers, Randy Wolf or Chris Narveson perhaps, to give you a better option at the bottom of your rotation. We would even consider parting with outfielder Nyjer Morgan to give you another left handed bat in the outfield if you would rather go in that direction. We are in desperate need of a 1B/ middle of the line-up player and are willing to give up a combination of any 2 of the above mentioned players to get Morales.

                            Please feel free to counter.

RE: Negotiations involving Ryan Dempster and other players

                              June 3, 2012

As we enter June, let me first say, congratulations on your big lead in the AL Central! Too early to say anything for sure, but it looks like the best Cleveland can do is shoot for the wildcard, unless they make some big changes fast. But I notice that you've had some injuries to your pitching staff (shame about losing Smyly for a couple of months--he was throwing well!), the back end of your rotation really hasn't been getting the job done, and it looks like you may be trying to trade Scherzer. As you know, we've had a bit of a tough year, and playing at a .333 clip isn't getting us anywhere. So we've made the difficult decision to start looking toward the future, and deciding who fits with our plans and who doesn't. I will forward you more information shortly, I just wanted to get the ball rolling by gauging your general interest in Ryan Dempster, as we've decided to give Travis Wood a shot at the rotation. Ryan hasn't had the best year so far (2-5, 4.85 ERA in 10/11 starts), but as a veteran pitcher who has been through a few battles, could certainly help you in your playoff run. Our needs are mainly for younger players, so a straight Dempster-for-prospect deal would be fine (our main needs are C & 2b, and SP & OF to a lesser extent), but we would also be interested in augmenting your already impressive lineup with another veteran or two--Geovanny Soto might make a nice, dependable backup catcher for you, and Alfonso Soriano could fit into your plans as a DH/right handed power bat (we could certainly talk about eating some of his salary), Reed Johnson and David DeJesus could be discussed--or one of our veteran relief pitchers--Carlos Marmol, since being removed from the closer's role, has pitched well in middle relief. We could also discuss one or two of our younger prospects, like RP Tony Zych or CF Matthew Szcur, if you wanted to talk about a larger deal involving two or three prospects on your end. Let me know if you are interested in discussing this matter further.

Derek Oja, Special Assistant to Theo Epstein & Jed Hoyer (They would have contacted you themselves, but they're off partying on a yacht on the Lake...)

                              ---------------------------------------------------------

Ok, I know you Tigers guys need more specifics (records, player performances, ask for specific prospects, etc) but I'm away from my ps3 for the evening and am stuck at the point where I really need to start rebuilding these Cubbies, and I figured I'd see what kind of interest there might be. I'll throw in more specifics later, but basically, Verlander is great, 2 of your other guys are great (can't remember which), but everyone else the Tigers have trotted out in the 4 or 5 spot has either gotten killed or hurt. Scherzer is on the Trading Block (I'm doing 30 team, they haven't tried to trade him yet), Smyly (and one of the other younger pitchers) got big time hurt, and the Tigers in my franchise are the ONLY team in early June that lists "SP" as a need. So, I will throw more specifics at you when I can, but basically, what, if any, kind of deal can you see the Tigers making for Dempster? Soto and Soriano are yours to be had if you want them, and any of the other players I mentioned, too. I'll try to analyze whether the Tigers in my universe need them or not--I did add VMart to the 40 man at some point, but I left it up to them to promote him or not, don't know who else has been hurt, etc. I know Prince & Miggy are tearing it up. More specifics to come.

                                Subject: Kendrys Morales

                                Re Kendrys Morales Trade

Thank you for contacting us in regards to Kendrys Morales. If i can ask you to please send us some up to date scouting reports and previous years stats on George Kottaras and Nyjer Morgan.

My personal opinion is we can leave those mentioned pitchers out unless if Chris Narveson is a reliever. Then please include previous year stats. I personally believe we are OK pitching wise for starts down on the farm.

I personally won't be able to reply till after Sunday evening 7:30 PST time. If Angels027 sees this before I reply, have at Angel.
