Morning all. I am emailing you all regarding our highly-touted pitcher, Zach Greinke. He is in the final year of his contract and since we aren't in a good position to resign him, we are looking to deal. We could use an back-end starter (to fill the void until the youngin's are ready) and the obvious array of prospects. Offer away. Will be looking forward to hearing from y'all.

Hello, we are very interested in the newly added to the trade block Zack Greinke. We would be willing to give up two of our better prospects and a decent 5th starter who is just killing it down in AAA. Now to just throw out some names here is an offer, feel free to counter.

    Brewers Receive:
    Aaron Cook
Jose Iglesias (MLB ready and i doubt you like your current SS)#4 spec in our syetem
Brandon Workman #23 in our system

    Red Sox Receive:
    Zack Greinke

      How about this?:

      Shields

      For

      Teheran
Sean Gilmartin (class A, no stats)
Edward Salcedo (class A, no stats)
JR Graham (class A, no stats)
Brandon Drury (AA, .272 4hr 58 RBI in 438 abs)

We think this is a fair trade considering you're no even playing 3 of guys in trade, so you obviously don't care for them much. Get back to me

      Kirk Plum, Rays GM
We would accept the shields, beckham trade long before this trade would even be a thought.

Sean Gilmartin a young pitcher with decent potential and were looking at Drury to "possibly" be our future at 3rd after chip retires. We would like to hold on to him to see what he has t offer later on down the road. As you know after this year we will have a hole to fill at 3rd.

I know the last proposal might have been over the top, but without Bethancourt, that's what we might have to ask for. We do not mean to try and "gut" you, but considering you need 2 more starting pitchers, and you allied up Delgado, Teheran just won't fit there. His numbers aren't good enough right now to earn him a starting spot. We're trying to give you the best pitcher in the MLB at the moment, so we're going to ask for a lot! We think the trade proposal with Tim Beckham was fair, but if you don't, go off of that one, and send us another proposal!

          Best regards,

Here's what we will do. We obviously need huge pitching help here, We are willing to do this.

            Our proposal is:

            Atlanta receives
            Shields
            Beckham

            Tampa receives
            Teheran
            Bethancourt

You reiceve a high potential pitcher that may or may not bust and a young Cather that we feel will have a good if not great career.

The loss of Huddy and Beachy was a huge gutshot to us and we need to bring in shields to fix the rotation. We feel like this is a good trade and a kicker is unnecessary.

If you approve this trade I would like to kno the final records for both teams and shields numbers at the end of the year. Thanks

First off we will tell you our untouchable prospects, Will Middlebrooks, Anthony Ranaudo, Matt Barnes, Ryan Lavarnway, Xander Bogaerts, and Garin Cecchini.

Now for stats for Aaron Cook. Cook started out in MLB due to an early injury to Melancon and up there he pitched in 19 games, 22.1 IP, 7 H, 1 HR, and an ERA of 1.89. Down in AAA he has been doing an okay job in the rotation he has 9 starts, 3.13 ERA, 46 IP, 35 K, 1-3 record.

                    RE: Hamels and Victorino

We are an aging team, and we are beginning to worry about our future. We don't want to give up either, but if we are completely out of the race by the trade deadline, both of these guys could be potential trade targets. We would much rather give up Victorino than Hamels, and we would want some young prospects that can help our future in return, seeing as our farm system is completely dried up. And again, unless we are COMPLETELY out of the race at the deadline we will not give these guys up.

He is having a pretty solid year and is injury free. The only pitchers the Cubs might deal, are Dempster, Wells, Maholm, Marmol, and a very slim chance of Matt Garza. They won't trade any young studs, that's for sure.
Ok, I don't want to make a trade if the team most likely wouldn't do it in real life. Also, would you recommend I just play a Phillies franchise instead of both a Pirates and Phillies one? Just so I focus on the Phillies one?

Carlos Pena is 33 and so is Luke Scott. Pena- .296 38 hr 118 h 94 RBI
                          Scott- .284 27 hr 112 h 63 RBI

Both are in last year of deals. If Pena is included, we might need 1 additional prospect to Salcedo.

no...there doesnt have to be anything realistic or fair about it....it's just based on how each of us would act if we were the GM of our particular team...there's no right or wrong in this discussion

Some of them might not seem like it, but if you look at the numbers, then they do make sense. Were making deals that would actually happen at these times according to how the players are performing, and injuries and all. Records also play a huge factor. Hope this helps out!
