RE: Felix Hernandez
Hello to everyone in this thread, this is my first post as a OS member and I really was inspired to try this from watching this thread get bigger and bigger. But anyway, it's time to get down to business. As you can see, we've decided as a organization that Felix cannot be a future part of our organization. We have three big pitchers ready to shine within the next few years (using Scott's rosters so Paxton, Hultzen, and Walker) and we feel Felix will be too much for us to afford. We're looking for 3B and OF, and we will expect much, as Felix is obviously one of the best pitchers in the league. Thank you, and I hope to hear some nice offers within the coming days.

RE: Felix Hernandez
I would like to send over an offer like this:
Felix Hernandez
BTBNL
for
Neftali Feliz
Mike Olt
Lenoys Martin
After the Madness - Complete 30-Team Association

RE: Offer for Hernandez
I have to say, you came out swinging with that offer. Buxton is exactly what we're looking for in an outfielder. He has the tools and the potential to be a superstar and lead our offense for years to come. Same with Sano, a power hitting 3B lets us move Seager to SS and wait for Franklin or move him if we need to in the next few years. However, while the offer is a very strong one, we're still considering all options, as we want to make the best deal for this club to avoid losing our heads with the fanbase. We will get back to you as soon as we review all options. BTW, glad to hear you're doing well! You guys had it rough last year, glad to see you might be back on track. Take care!

RE: Felix Hernandez
Your offer is also a very strong offer indeed, as Feliz is a pitcher that could compliment our big three and make it a big four (albeit lighter without Hernandez). Olt is also a big help, as he's almost ready for the bigs already and could see a call-up later in the year. Again, I'll have to see about Martin, as I have little knowledge about him (all the prospects I know of in Texas are Olt, Profar, and to some extent Perez) and have to consult with my organization and consider our options. Also, just so you are aware, because you are a division rival, the price may end up a little higher for your organization, as to be expected. We would expect the same if we were looking for talent on your end. However, it's a great offer, and we will get back to you. Best of luck the rest of the season!

Butler/Hosmer/Gordon? Anything we can work on here?
From: Royals GM
Are you looking for just a general cost of what we would want or do you want to talk names?
I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

Good to see you here, Pete. We've had our ups and downs over almost 150 pages now, but we've got a helluva system in place, all starting from your idea, and almost everyone uses it to better their gameplay.
Your idea made Operation Sports and especially The Show forums a better place, thanks again -- and again, good to see you back lurking!I'm just an old guy sports gamer...Comment

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
Gentlemen,
Just please remember that the "trading block" idea has been attempted here, and has failed in a stunning blaze of glory in the past. Please, when initiating a negotiation with a team representative -- MAKE AN OFFER.
Individual team representatives are VOLUNTEERS, and are only there to tell you if a trade you are thinking of making would be accepted by a human controlling the franchise in question, that you are trading with.
Just a quick reminder... I know a lot of this is just good quality baseball discussion, but let's try to stay on point and on message, please.
Thanks to ALL, we are very close to celebrating our Page 150 Milestone! Way to go OS Arbitration Panel 2012 participants!
Kind Regards,

RE: Felix Hernandez
After careful consideration and discussion within our organization, we have decided to accept the deal you have presented us with. We feel this is the best thing for the long term future of this franchise, and while it is sad we have to see Felix go, we feel this is the most beneficial deal in the long term. That being said, here are the particulars, no?
Texas receives: SP Felix Hernandez and a PTBNL
Mariners receive: 3B Mike Olt, CF Lenoys Martin, and SP Neftali Feliz
Let me know if I'm missing anything!
And sorry about not offering a deal Pete, I'll be sure to do so next time!Comment

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
From: Royals GM
We are definitely interested in Johan Santana and David Wright but I don't see us parting with that package of players. We don't have many in house options to replace these guys (Definitely no one behind Gordon and Hosmer that will be close to their caliber.) We just locked up Escobar long term at a cheap cost.
So right now, I would have to say no on Hosmer and Escobar but if we can work out a package centered around Gordon for Santana and/or Wright we would love to continue talks.

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
From Royals GM:
Can Wright play 1st base? We don't really have an internal solution for 1st and I would rather not acquire a regular who is just going to sit the bench.

even though we are out of contention this year, we have a young core of players that we think can take this team to the next level in the next few years, so Felix hernandez would be a great addition to this ball club (i have not traded away hanley in this franchise)
MARLINS RECEIVE : Felix Hernandez
