The program is the same......they are getting the stats/info etc from a different source now(better).

I told Lorne_SCEA I would pay handsomely for his PC player rating program.
SO easy to adjust players. I want.....badly.

I don't know how long it takes though....but Lorne is always working when I go to his station.

Knights forgive me if this has been addressed or can’t be as of now. I know you can’t talk about everything and this may fall under that category. But I was wondering if in Show Live, are we able to edit stances, accessories, pitching motions, etc.?

There is an option to run it SLOW-NORMAL-FAST(it's set to fast every time ...no way to keep it slow and you'll want it slow. )
While it doesn't stop at every AB....there is a chance to jump back into the game at any time now...by hitting triangle and then X(to continue).
There are no options to make moves in that screen(you'll have to jump in), but I hope they add that in the future.

Thanks for your prompt and kind replies Knight. They are much appreciated. I will not clog the thread but I have a few additional questions.

When you go to the Sim screen, do the simulation of the at-bats begin automatically, or can you select slow speed before you start the simulation? And is it correct that you do not see a pitch-by-pitch record of each at-bat, but you just see the result of the at-bat? Such as "ground-out to third" or "double to left field", etc.

Also, can you do this every inning? For example, in my Franchise games, I only human play my teams pitching and I simulate my teams batting. Am I able to simulate my at-bats and then start the inning that I will pitch and will my pitcher (starter or reliever) still be left in the game so that I can pitch with him? I am hoping the computer does not automatically remove the pitcher when the next half-inning starts.

Finally, is the Box Score and Game Log the same and in the Replay Vault can you sort the plays by player (like MLB 10 and 11), and not by teams, like in MLB 12. I hope they changed that feature back.

Thanks Knight. I appreciate you time, input, and the efforts you put into this game to make it a better experience for the community.

I apologize if this is in the wrong thread but i'm wondering how the future schedules look in franchise. Do they follow the new format with inter-league play?

Are the minor leaguers still randomly generated. Honestly, its been a few years since Ive played with SCEA rosters since I usually use OSFM, but I seem to remember in the past that each time you'd start a franchise, your minor league roster was different. Maybe Im wrong on that, its been a few years.

I would LOVE to see SCEA do with minor leaguers and draft picks what Madden did with draft picks. No random generation, actually create all the minor leaguers with a plan under the hood as to how each will progress. This would be much harder than in Madden though, just because of the shear volume of players.

Has there been any change this year in the fake minor leaguers in terms of how SCEA creates them? One of the big reasons I use OSFM as opposed to default rosters is because Ive never been a fan of the quality of the fake minor league players.

Ok thanks. Still wondering why they do not have the ability to migrate files from previous year to current year so editors don't have to spend weeks/months recreating all the players. I don't know how you guys do it every year...the same process over and over and over when all it would take is a db file migration program and prefill new attributes with blanks or null and only manually edit those.

                Oh well...maybe next year...

Does Spring Training effect player attributes? Say if a guy has a hot Spring his attributes may increase a bit across the board and drop if he has a bad one?

This has been asked a few times, not sure if there is an answer on it yet. I can't find one.

Something I'd like to know aswell though.
For example the Cubs visit Oakland this year. Does that mean the A's play the cubs for the next 10 years in franchise or will it rotate like it should?

hunter pence has been the biggest flop of a cyber face I've ever seen from this game. I hope they have improved,

They can definitely do better with pence, maybe the players who aren't superstars just yet get less attention. I would expect Mccutchen, Kemp, Harper etc to be flawless

I had been kind of turned off by this game a few years ago due to the stale franchise mode, but it looks like progress is being made.

                          I have a few questions.

                          1) Budgets for teams ... where are they starting, disparity between Big Market and Small, how do they look 5, 10 years down the line. I assume these cannot be edited .

                          2) Player progression - with the new system in place are we seeing a more standard spread? I remember simming years ahead and seeing way too man A and B players.

                          3) Player contracts / FA - Without user intervention you would see high profile players sitting in FA. Is this still happening? I would imagine this would tie in with progression as if there is a normal spread A - F players then budgets should be spread too thin.

                          4) Team Mode - Rebuilding / Win Now etc ... I assume these still exist. If so does that change how the team is look to trade? Say a rebuilding team might value 50% potential and 50% actual where a win now team is 100% actual.

                          Thanks for your input

I forgot to ask this, maybe someone already did.

Have arbitration years and controllable years for players been accurate for The Show last year? Its hard to tell since I never checked exactly, but I feel like players are under control for too short of a time. If so has this been reworked at all in 13?

Is it easier at all resign controlled players? Last years the way the game handled it was a bit confusing.
