Re: CES questions you have about MLB 13 The Show

This isn't really in "question form," but with all the talk about hitting being easier, I'm interested to know if the game maintains offensive balance, and low-scoring games are still plentiful. I don't want to see fewer pitchers' duels just because some schmuck in Arkansas was batting below the mendoza line!

really? because if I go to league leaders it only shows stuff like RBI HRs etc, not Strike outs OBP, the only way is to sort it out by team not overall NL AL MLB etc

          Thanks for all the info
I don't think it was cloudy.

I will check the sunglasses thing out tomorrow.

I played another user and it was 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth.

Like the User controls sliding and pickoffs and whatnot, it might have been lost in translation. Ask in the community day threads and maybe we can get a better understanding of what is going on.

I think he's talking about how there has been no way to view league leaders for some stats categories like OBP. We can sort team stats by these "less prominent" stats categories but not in the League Leaders screen.

I'm not really sure. That way I presented the question to Russell and the way he understood it, he said it has always been there. Probably clarify it at the community day.

Perhaps he thought you meant on the STATISTICS page, which has tons of stats....
But League Leaders...no...and they are the same from last year.
Stat tracking is pretty much the same until PS4.
(or they figure a way for more memory in '14's version)

Seriously, thank you for the response.

This is actually correct. I can indeed control the initial leadoff of the baserunner. (moving him back and forth) The problem I am referring to is where the CPU takes over. The pitcher will throw the ball to the base but my baserunner will freeze & nothing I do will get him to move. He heads back to the bag and is tagged out by the fielder. This is something completely random & will even occur where the baserunner is taking even a one step lead off the base.

What I am asking is if they changed this to give the player total control of the baserunner. Based on his answer it would seem that this was not implemented even as an option in the game. Thanks again for asking him my questions. I appreciate that.

If you remember, can you please ask him if something can be done to implement full baserunner control at least as an option for the game play where the CPU does nothing unless the player presses a button to make the baserunner move. Thanks.

I already asked him that question today. He told me that that's just the way they made the game. I will ask him tomorrow if that's something they might be thinking about doing for next year.

                              Yes...pickoffs...VERY much animation driven.
There is no mechanism to give the USER total control right now, but perhaps the timing window to reach the animation can be adjusted.
We can(and have) asked for more control over pickoff related items.
                              We will continue.

The only reason he won the first game was because of M.Trout.
