Once again, thanks so much for your time - and if you have a PayPal account, I would be more then happy to chip in with others to help you buy a copy!
The build at CES is not current so I did not see any celebrations or replays. I will ask about the visual enhancements. The Vita version was very similar to the console version IMO as far as comparing it to last year.

Thanks about PayPal. If enough users want to do the same, I'll email them my info.

Last question and this one is kind of a important one.

In one of the interviews Russell said that CPU AI logic for pitchers has been improved. Can you ask Russell if this means the CPU will finally not leave a starting pitcher in the game for longer then he needs to be?

        Example below

Lets say the CPU Yankees are up 9-0 with 3 outs to go would they still bring out C. Sabathia in the 9th to get the last 3 outs even though he has thrown over 130 pitches already? Or will the CPU be smarter now and bring in a relief pitcher to get the last 3 outs?

I see this happen all the time in MLB 12 The Show and it not very realistic in my opinion. The only way I can see this happening is if all there relief pitchers were god awful.

        Thanks

Also can you talk about the improvements to Pulse pitching and if you can control velocity now and how it works?

Thanks again man for being our eyes & ears
I only play with timing for hitting and use analog pitching. I usually use analog fielding but I have been trying out the new button fielding. Russell was using zone for batting with the cursor on. I noticed a lot of different hits with timing like I mentioned earlier in this thread.

I'll ask about the pulse pitching.

What are your thoughts on button accuracy throwing? I would assume it takes a little getting used to? Also, I think this replaces regular button throwing correct?

The MANAGER HOOK slider and the SP stamina slider would work on this, BUT...I would think that most pitchers who haven't given up a run are going to want to stay the game to get the complete game SO...ESPECIALLY in the A.L. where he doesn't come to bat(and the manager doesn't have to think)

Really so your saying this is actually very realistic? I'll take your word for it as I am sure you know a heck lot more about baseball then I ever will. 130 pitches just seems like a whole lot and being up by 9 runs. Does getting getting a complete game really mean that much to the pitcher?

They could wear out their arm by the end of the season. That's what happen to Roy Halladay once.

At 130...it may be a lot for some....but I would say that if a pitcher was throwing a shutout...yeah...he'd want to finish it off.

Re: CES questions you have about MLB 13 The Show

                    One simple Mariners question...
Does Dustin Ackley finally have his beard in this year's version of the game.

I couldn't stand to even play last year's game as Ackley looked like a 12 year old every time he batted.

                    Is this question ridiculous? Yes.
                    Do I care? Nope.

I think it depends on the pitcher, I have seen CC throw some complete games with 130 pitches, give or take.

Not really when Edwin Jackson threw a no hitter a few years ago. He threw over 135 pitches.

Actually to add on the CPU AI Logic

I have also seen a CPU pitcher throwing a no hitter into the 6th inning with around 80 pitches thrown and then right after giving up just 1 hit the manager takes him out of the game for a relief pitcher.

That is also not very realistic in my opinion.

I guess its true what Knight165 and nemesis04 says it depends on the pitcher.

really?? I see that all the time in the MLB you need to take into account all situations

I would think it would have to do a lot with the situation. Is he pitching a no hitter, how many wins does he have, how deep in the season is it, None of those things are mentioned. It also depends on the pitcher. I for one don't like this trend of counting pitches in the "modern" era. Pitchers used to throw 130+ pitches quite often, I believe Nolan Ryan once threw 238 pitches in a game and look how long he played. Go back and look the stats for 1965 thru the 1980's and see the average pitches per starter and compare them to today's numbers.

In the Show this is how I manage my team in Franchise mode. I always to get my starters deep into the game. I kept Strasburg in my rotation and got the Nationals into the Series. I look for pitchers with stamina. I only keep one or at most 2 middle relief guys in and only one long relief in my pen.But thats just me, tried to "Money Ball" my franchise this year and I made it so??
